First new quilt of 2013. 



This one was made with vintage fabric from my grandmother and great aunt. 



It was the first time I tried to FMQ feathers on a quilt as a nod to the tradition of quilting I was introduced to as I played under the quilting frame in my grandmother's living room.
 

I love some of the fabrics.  All these squares were hand cut by my grandmother and/or my grandfather and were collected over 60+ years.

It is pretty small, 21 inches square.  The patches were all in the neighborhood of 2 1/8 inches square.

Oh - that *is* small!  I think I need to try out a small quilt so I can practice doing some quilting other than stitch-in-the-ditch.  SITD is useful, but it ain't all that exciting!  I love your little quilt!
