My friend is building a game room for all his classic video game systems and is looking for art so I decided to make a Fossil of an NES (Nintendo Entertainment System) controller. I created a sand mold of the controller and then used plaster to cast the piece. I used a light wash (a dab of black paint mixed with a lot of water) to bring out the details. Then I built a shadow box for it out of some Pine and under laminate (Painted white inside and black outside). I used a dremil to etch the North American release and Discontinue dates on a small piece of brass to make a plaque. All and all I think it turned out well.

This is awesome! I always wonder what people will think 1000s of years from now when they find our "artifacts". Very cool!

Man, that's a really cool idea, I really want to try it with an NES cartridge.
