Hello all! I'm pretty new to this place and have been lurking around reading a lot of interesting posts and checking out peoples creations. Loving it here so far. Smiley

I'm pretty new to sewing in general and have been having a lot of fun teaching myself how to sew and how to make plushies. I've been working on drafting my own pattern for soft and super cuddly animal plushies and thought I would share my progress so far.

I wanted the plush to be cuddly but artistic and pretty at the same time so this is my latest bunny plush I've made, with my own pattern. I still have a lot of work to do on the pattern and changes I want to make. I am interested in hearing some feedback or maybe advice on how to improve? Smiley

I used a 5mm pile minky like fabric for the plush with a satin brocade accent on the tummy, ears and paws (phew brocade is pretty but difficult to work with!). The bows I made with just a wide ribbon by adding a cherry blossom flower accent in the middle of the bow and attaching a long sheer ribbon that curled down the ears.

I need to practice with sewing the pads on the bottom of the paws, I did my best but see the need for practice there! Tongue

Thanks for the feedback guys and gals. Smiley I'm excited to settle into a crafting community!  Wink

She's so cute! I think she looks sad though, I want to give her a big hug. I love the fabric match up of the minky and the brocade. The brocade adds the extra touch, I think without it she would look more kid oriented. You did a great job on her. I still have trouble when I'm trying to figure out a pattern for a plushie and I have been sewing for years.

I think she's just adorable!  Sure she's sad, but it adds to my desire to snuggle her!  Great job on the pattern!
