IYP 22: Crafting with the Glitz! Signup Jan 12-27, Send March 4, 2013

I have 1 or maybe 2 things left to make for my super partner, Sticker. Unfortunately I'm having to take a crafting-break 'cause I strained my hands again doing small work (I guess I do sweat the small stuff  ) I *think* the projects were worth it, but I still hate having to wait to finish up  Ah, well, I should be back at crafting within a week and have all the supplies I need ready for that happy, happy day!

Made a trip to Hancocks and disappointed in their selection of none of what I was looking for.  Fixing to browse the wed and order online I hope.  Plans were to get this item made today but no it  never works out as planned.  Off to see what I can find.

I made some serious progress today.

I found the perfect fabric in my stash for the project I was wanting to make.  It has been cut out and is ready to be sewn.  I even have enough for a extra item!

Heh, in exactly the same boat. Guess we're well matched in that regard, lol.

I have supplies. I have ideas. I need to finish another swap so I can focus on this one and *gulp* make my own pattern for the item I have in mind. We'll see how that goes. And I need paperclay. None of my darn paperclay ever lasts no matter how well I reseal the wretched bags. *grumbles*

Paper clay is an air-dry clay that you can use to make all sorts of things. It dries fairly quick, is prone to shrinkage and takes a bit of getting use to when working with it. Still, on the whole it's darn useful because it's fairly light when it dries as opposed to Polymer Clay which can be quite heavy when used in larger pieces.

Crafting away over here - I've been focusing on SilentBlair this week. I sure hope she likes what I am making her... I sorta went off the reservation a smidge and varied it from her original proposed swap item. I couldn't help myself and chose something I desperately wanted to make. I keep having these twinges of worry as I craft at all my mom's doctors appointments and people keep asking me what I am making then laugh when I tell them.
