I don't ever make jewelery (I lack the necessary patience I think) but I saw these and I have to find a way to make one for my boyfriend. He's a Mountain Dew addict. Unfortunately the only sites that sell them don't let you specify a brand, and it just wouldn't mean as much to him unless I make it myself.

My question is, is there a way to make one like the photo without spending a mint on supplies? I'm talking about the obvious added thickness and smooth rolled edges. Is it possible to buy a small sheet of some metal for underneath the soda can.. like brass or silver? Or am I pretty much out of luck unless I can find a jeweler to do this for me?

I'd really appreciate any help you could offer Smiley

I'm wondering if you could buy a basic cuff that has the rolled edges and then glue the piece of can over it?  Does that make sense?  I don't make jewelry so I can't offer much but that might be the simplest way to accomplish it.
