Saw this thimble necklace on Pinterest and have been crazy obsessed with it ever since. Decided I needed to make one of my own.

Using a steel thimble that belonged to my grandmother this is what I came up with:

Pretty pleased with it and am thinking I need to find some pretty old thimbles so I can make more. Smiley

I think this is lovely, and I especially love the fact that you made it with your grandmother's thimble.

I just featured this project on Craftster's Facebook page. Thanks for sharing. Smiley

Love that!  What a great idea and super special since it is your grandmother's thimble Smiley

Looking for a vintage magazine (1974 - 1978) that has a fabric nativity set w/ people and animals. An example: http://www.craftster.org/pictures/showphoto.php?photo=440861&ppuser=143144.

Beautiful and sentimental all at once.  What a great project!  I'm sure your crafty grandmother is very proud of you.  <3
