Finished this pouf/foot rest for the Nursery we're working on, love it! I couldn't find hat I wanted in stores or in Yellow (plus they were $85+) so I made my own.  Smiley

I used three strands of Lion Brand Homespun in Golden and two strands of Stitch Nation Full o Sheep in Honeycomb held together using US 15 needles. Total I used 3 balls of each brand (as a little less yardage in the Full o Sheep, total cost $14).

I was inspired by the Puff Daddys Baby pattern but ended up using this Drops pattern as the short rows provided better shaping and easier to sew closed at the end. I just CO 28 stitches and worked in Seed Stitch instead of Garter.

I found a matching yellow sheet at the thrift store and wrapped it around an old balled up comforter to stuff the pouf. Worked great!

(I also made the side table! Blogged here)

This is fantastic!  I had been admiring something similar in a store in town (although I was not admiring the price!).  However, I think this is even better!

Great colour too!

Love your pouf-especially the seed stitch which looks fab!  I also have been coveting the poufs I see in stores, it sounds like an easily knitable project Smiley

Great job!
I too am in the process of knitting a pouf pillow/ottoman from the Puff Daddy pattern.
I totally revamped the pattern just like you and am using the Star knitting stitch.
I'm half way through.  Grin

uh-oh.
hubby's gonna be mad... but the toddler will be happy.
I think there may be tons of knitted poofs around here someday.

those are awesome... and the patterns are something my very limited knitting skills can do... and we have about 5 old sheets laying around already and i have totes and totes of yarn. basically free home decor. I'm so excited!

Thank you for sharing this Smiley

I love these poufs, and yours turned out great. I love the idea of using all that yarn too - this would make a great stashbuster project!
