I am a goodwill/thrift store type book hunter. I bought my partner her book new, but I always find good books for my girls or myself there. Yesterday I got my hands on Major Pettigrew's Last Stand and One Thousand White Women. I swear there is a wonderful book enthusiast in my town who knows I live of the .99c books that they donate.  Grin  And when I am done, if I didn't absolutely love the book, I donate it back... but that doesn't happen as much as one might expect.

Me too! Or at booksales, or I just take things out from the library! Decided to bite the bullet and order this one new for my partner, since I wasn't sure I could find most of her list used.

Also ordered myself some nice mitts off of Etsy last night! What an exciting night for online shopping! haha

Whew, I finally have the internet moved over in my new apartment and I had a lot of pages in this thread to read!  I'm loving all the book talk (naturally) and I have a lot of new books on my to-read list now.  I should update my goodreads, hehe.

I'm so excited to craft for my partner, I already know exactly what I'm doing for my medium (though the bookmark is still eluding me, believe it or not) and one of her books is one of my all-time favorites.  It's a book my husband got me into, so we spent a happy afternoon brainstorming craft ideas!  I think there will be extras.  Grin

ME TOO!!!  My husband and I love nothing more than to wander through a 2nd hand market and walk away with an armful of amazing books of all sorts!  In Paris I found a Spanish/English dictionary from a 100 years ago with ettiquette on bullfighting and ballroom dances!!  The phrases in the book just KILL me Smiley LOL

I have everything pretty much planned out. Now I just have to pick up the book and some supplies so I can get started!

I think I'm going to spend Friday hunting for my partners book and hopefully pulling together supplies for my medium!  It's something I've never tried before so fingers crossed...

Hmm, I think I might take a chance and craft based on a book my partner wants that I also had on my list...because I've had an idea for it that I kind of want to run with.

Sooo... bookmark done, book purchased, and today I got half way through my medium too. I got everything preped and arranged, fiddled about til it all looked right and ready to secure down - then realised I don't have any glue in the house. Fail.  Roll Eyes
