Your hat turned out really nice--I think I might try to give it another go..

I also like your watchcap pattern...

Good to know other people have felting fails, too!

Love the Bi-Color Cap!

Do dog hats count for our hat-along? Because Jinx needs his own hat. The dicky I've been throwing on his head the last few days (-40 celcius, BRRR!) just won't stay above his ears. I'm thinking about making him the Pointy Greyhound Hood, because it's HILARIOUS!

oh how cute!  I think my dog would wear it if I made a hole for his ears to stick out...he does not like his ears covered but he does love having his neck covered!  Yeah--it counts as a knit hat to me, too! Cheesy

I love the greyhound hats!  And given how cold and shivery most of the greyhounds I've met seem to always be, it seems pretty practical.

I cast on the Admiral Anja hat this weekend, and bought some yarn for the Bi-Color Spiral Hat.  I'm trying to clean up my craft area and came across a partial skein of something in shiny sportweight I'm unlikely to use for anything else, so I think I'll make one of those newborn caps for a donation.

A few pics.  Here's the Kiddie Cat hat -- the color is quite nice IRL -- don't know why the picture is so yellowed.  I have a small head, and this is quite roomy on me; I made a not that if I make it for kids, I need to downsize everything!

I didn't get to the laundramat this weekend, so I'll have to see how these felted hats turn out -- so far so good!

I used Barbara Walker's slip-stitch method and knit in the round, and it turned out quite nicely.  But I'm worried they'll felt down to doll size.  so I made the grey one really big....

Hope you're all having fun with your projects!

The color of the cat hat is gorgeous!  I have yet to try a cabled hat...

Nice knitting on the hats you plan on felting...I don't think they shrink down that much so you are probably still going to have a large hat! Cheesy  the felting will make your pattern muted --can't wait to see it!

Niiiiice mosaic work! Glad to see it turned out ok! Could you felt them by hand in the kitchen sink? Or maybe you have a friend/relative who'd let you use their top-loader? Doll size hats with that much work would probably make me cry.

I finished my "tropical candy" watchcap in only THREE days! WOOT! I cast on in and did the ribbing in an evening, did most of the body to following evening, and finished it up between shifts at work. The colours are more muted that I thought they'd be, but still very pretty, and I'm sure it will look even better once the matching cowl is done.

Last night I started Jinx's hood. Crazy me, I decided it MUST match his sweater.
