Mixed Media "Clay" Painting

Hey guys! I have been working on some mixed media pieces. I just finished this one and I was so excited about how it turned out that I wanted to share! I sculpted the little fox's head out of clay and painted it, the raindrops are acrylic gems, and the whole thing is painted on a piece of reclaimed lumber. I think I will be making some more "clay" paintings in the near future, this one was so much fun!

Thanks all! I bought a wee little canvas with a frame and I am using it for my next clay painting. I will post pics when I get it done!

I thought this was very cool, and I did not spot the pointy nose until I saw the image of your work sideways. Nicely done!

You could use fabric too, maybe for a piece of clothing or for the umbrella.

Just an idea, I know I can't do it, but I know you can!
