I know we're all burned out on the holidays and ready to move on but I did want to share this xmas project before it becomes completely out of season Smiley.

I made this quilted advent calendar for my lovely partner in the Ho Ho Ho swap. She makes advent calendars for her family each year but didn't have one for herself... until now!



I made the calendar using this pattern as the inspiration. I changed a few things though:

- I didn't like the off centered placement of the pockets so I just made them with straight sashing
- I stamped the numbers on twill tape with alpha stamps instead of applique
- I went with 25 pockets instead of 24



(close-up pre-quilting)


I filled the pockets with little crafty supplies for her Smiley.



The back has triangular pocket doo-dads so it can be hung up.



It was a fun project but challenged my novice quilting skills. There are loads of imperfections but I learned a lot! Thanks for looking. Let me know if you have questions!
