I have recently been studying alchemy for some art work that I am working on and I was inspired to make this ATC set. The front of the case is beaded with a burst of four different colors symbolizing four stages of alchemy: The blackening, The Whitening, The yellowing, and The reddening. On the back of the case I embroidered the alchemical symbols for earth, air, water, and fire. The ATCs on the inside are all color studies for the elements of earth, water, air, and fire. I used lots of different media to create this: Felt, beads, embroidery floss, colored pencil, acrylic paint, water color paint, metallic guache, and sparkle glaze. It was mainly an exploration of color and media to get me rolling on some bigger projects.

I love it when things are done in sets or themed. You did an amazing job on these. I like all they sybolism and the case is such a cool touch! I think the water one is my favorite. It's very dreamy.
