Look at what my pal Calabaza sent me as a surprise for my birthday!

TWO scarves! The one on the right she dyed herself. She knows I LOVE scarves. Grin

One of her BEAUTIFUL huck woven tea towels. Of course it happens to be the one I specifically commented on liking. Wink Some of the leftover dyed fabric and some Sour Patch Kids (love).

And a scrappy pillowcase that I love. The funny thing about this is that I own a few items she has made previously using some of these fabrics, and I was just thinking that my current pillowcase (also from her) needed a wash.

Thanks again C! You're such a great friend! Smiley

What a fun "memory" pillowcase!

I got an awesome package from bushbaby!
Gorgeous local yarn, local magazine and papers, and  local candy! (oops, one skein is missing...it was already on my swift being made into a ball! Grin)

She snuck these two items right underneath my nose by posting them in the 50 Projects craftalong...I had no idea I was the recipient! ha  A beautiful hand designed and beaded scissor holder and a knitted "hug"...awww thanks!

This was in return for me sending her one of cinnamon_teals awesome pottery yarn bowls!  Great swap all around!

StickerChic87, what a lovely pillow case. I love the colors and that it is made of many fabrics. Birthday present are always great!

Victoria Kamalova, cute atcs.

Victoria, I am so glad you like everything.  The two tree atc's are made with some sticky paper my niece printed for me when she worked at a copy store, first time I've used it.  :-)

Dawn, yes, I noticed the unusual paper. The tree ATCs are great. And the mermaid is so colorful! Love all of them!

Sarcastra & I did a nice little swap for Inchise houses Smiley

Here is the beautly she sent me along with the teeny, tinly animals to go around it Smiley I decided to mount them on a clear plastic strip so I can rotate them around the house where I am displying them. Thought this would also stop them getting blown away!

Isnt it pretty Smiley

And here it is on my Inchie House display  Grin

Oh, the plastic circle solution is very clever!
I'm glueing the last part of the house Sarcastra made for me, and I decided to put the animals on the house... now I sort of wish I had seen your circle thing a little sooner!
The house is great, I love the detail put in to it Smiley (And I'm so happy, 'cause mine is just as awesome! Smiley Pictures are coming soon, promise! )

BushBaby and I did a personal swap for inchie houses. I really liked the seaside cottages she made during the swap we were in, so afterwards I asked if we could trade individually so I could get one for my own personal inchie village. She agreed and here is my own cottage, freshly assembled. I'm slacking - she has already posted pictures in this thread.

How cute is this?! I like the chimneys and the amount of house she managed to pack into a square inch!

All those small stones and outlines she did so well! I have a lot of respect for her thin, light and skinny lines.

I am stuck on all the small details she put into the cottage. Those doors on the left would open up to allow a boat to launch right in to the water from the lower house.
Quoted from her explanation:
... are based on the family houses of the fishermen in Kirkwall, Orkney. The lower half of the house they would store the boats & nets etc and live in the upper floor. hence the stairs up to the 1st floor. What i couldnt show is that they were built very close together with the narrow side facing the harbour. Each house has it's own slip from where the could land and launch their boats. Do an image search on google for Kirkwall Orkney and you will see what I mean. Smiley

Another excellent detail; the cat in the window! So very cute. The shading on the boat is great, too.

She also included a detailed stone base for the cottage to rest on, but I completely failed to photograph it.
Thank you BushBaby!
