Idea for this thread

It's been fun seeing all the holiday ATCs.  Nice job all.

I've been craft bombed!!  The ever amazing jillybeans has sent me the most fabo monster bag felted by ptarmic wumpus.  She got it from her at the Shop the Swap swap because it need to come live with me it seems...I'm so lucky!!!!!

It seems it was a bit hungry from it's long trip across the boarder.  But I fed it some paper and a used sock and it quieted down.  here is a pic of it hanging happily on it's hook.  And it hasn't even tried to eat one of the dogs yet Grin

ThankYouThankYouThankYou again jilly! and you too ptarmic wumpus!  I just love it Grin

Kitty Herman and I did a personal swap - one 4x6 and 6 ATCs.  What a haul I got..... this is one talented artist!!  Every time I looked at the next piece, I was floored.
Here is the 4x6

It is the view she has each morning as her cat wakes her up to ask for breakfast. Such an unusual look - so very creative.  Charcoal.

On to the incredible ATCs

for my request for mushrooms. Kitty claims she is new at watercolors.  Sooooo hard to believe. This is a stunning piece of work in the medium.

for my pet rat theme.  I have had 3 awesome pet rats in my life. Kitty has also experienced the joy of loving pet rats. So good to hear when someone else understands that they are clean, loving, and clever, not the nasty creatures many folks make them out to be.  I love this card. He is adorable.

For my "birth year" theme.... (1963). The Beatles were big. Here is a very very funny pencil depiction of the madness....   Ya gotta luv the Ringo fan....!

I had both daisies and ladybugs on my list. Here is a sweet combo of them. Makes me all happy inside just to look at it.

For my red fox theme. They are such gorgeous creatures. I cry when I see them dead in the road. Here is one titled "Alone but not lonely".  He is being kept silent company by a couple of chummy shrooms.

Lastly, on my ivy theme...

Yes, the leaves are real and somehow Kitty managed to treat them so they would arrive looking like they had just been picked. Some very cool background on this card, too.

Kitty Herman, you are THE BOMB. I couldn't possibly be happier with every single piece you made for me. Obviously you worked very very hard to cater to my wishes.  I would trade with you again in a heartbeat.

I did a personal swap, ATCs with dreadlady. She has received but has a family member in hospital so she said I could post what I sent her.

because she likes sewn things on words and also likes owls...

for her fortune teller theme and also looking thru windows theme....

because she had maps on her pinterest...

she likes bird silhouttes...

and zentangles and turtles...

It was a fun package to create.

Swapped cards with Kitty Herman. Have not seen a post, so thought I'd show what I did...

A 4x6 based on her theme Hello Kitty as...

And 5 ATCs...

on her gnome theme, a wee house whose door opens...

(annoying habits theme)

giraffe theme

Dr Who theme.  My hubby took some time to understand this one...

I guess I failed to take a pic of the last one, a vertical letter B for her daughter.

Wow, thats a nice poppet.  Ive never really liked 'doll type' things.  But the poppets ive seen here on craftser really are neat.  The one you recieved for instance, looks like a lot of work went into making it.  The hair-wow!  And it looks very well made too.  I really should try to make one, Id love a pirate one.

Want to learn to crochet or knit?  I have a ton of extra crochet hooks & circular knitting needles.  Will throw in some pattern books and yarn for anyone interested in a swap.
