I really like the fabrics in that pincushion.  It just looks happy doesn't it?

that's a great way to describe them!  I love this fabric style-- 30's\40's.

Carolmb--you and A2K were perfect partners!  Such wonderful packages...and such kindred spirits to both send useful and cute sewing items!  I adore the vintagey looking fabric and those cute pins!!!

I like Kit-Kat, unless I'm with 4 or more people.

FoxyBlue and I partnered for the One Little Pincushion Swap and she made the best pincushion ever. FoxyBlue told me his name is Jerome the Gnome and I should never stick pins in his eyes! Don't worry about that- he's a work of art!
She embroidered lovely flowers and leaves on his cap and added colour with pastel crayons. Perfect!

She also sent me a ballerina stick pin, the sweetest little bird pin (did you make that too?), an Edward Lear quote from The Owl and the Pussycat, a collection of tiny treasures, and tea! Whew!

I love it all!!!! Thank you, FoxyBlue!

I was lucky enough to be partnered with texscrapper in the pincushion swap.  She sent me two gorgeous pincushions.

This is the one I posted in the pincushion swap gallery:

A beautiful basket of spring flowers and butterflies.

And this is the extra one she sent.  A little round wooden box with a sunshine motif on top and a pretty floral cushion inside.  The bonus is that the inside of the box top is magnetic.  She made pretty little jeweled pins for this one.

I love them both!

Both are cute!  I love the storage of the second one but I love the flowers on the vintage one.

Both of your new pincushions are nifty, gamemom!  I love my magnetic pin plate -- use it all the time to pick up stray pins.  I also love that you can just throw pins in the general direction of the plate and be reasonable sure they'll find their way!  Cheesy  Nice reuse of materials!
