A storybook tale...

And deep in the forest, nestled amoung the trees, lay the gingerbread cottage. After the first snowfall its windows tipped with icicles and its rooftop dusted with snow.

All components are gingerbread, mortar is royal icing and the roof tiles are melted chocolate piped into circles. Due to the weather, snow was impersonated by icing sugar

It was my first attempt at a gingerbread construction, i was so terrified when putting it together. i kept checking it all night to see if it had slid apart!

The fun of it though and seeing all the other amazing entries has started the next ideas rolling for the next build. My little cousin asked where all the furniture had gone from inside......
