For our first ever gingerbread house , we chose to to make an empty dog house sitting in the snow. Someone has built a snowman outside the front door, but no dog lives there during the harsh winter months. All dogs belong in the house or in a sheltered and windproofed area for protection while they, along with us, wait for the sunny days of Spring to return.

Side view:

The roof of the dog house was tiled with frosted shredded wheat.

Frosted biscuits for the roofing gives the old England thatched roof look with snow, so clever

Definately calls for its puppy to come home and head inside, at least frosty is there to keep it cheerful

I love that the dog lives inside during the cold winter months & not in the dog house! Very thoughtful story & I really like how you shingled the roof with cereal! Great mix of materials!  Wink
