This is a "Blessings Jar" that I made for my secret sister at church. The idea is to jot down your blessings and then fold 'em up and place them inside the jar. Then on New Years Day next year, open your jar and read all your blessings. I plan to include a pretty pen and note pad. The jar is just an old spaghetti sauce jar. I covered the lid with fabric using mod podge and then made the cozy using the same fabric. The lettering is done using a fabric transfer that I printed. I was going to stitch it by hand, but the family has been sick with the flu and I was short on time.  Grin

This is very sweet. I really like how you decorated the jar. I've seen something on Pinterest that is similar and thought about making my own.

That's exactly where I got the idea. Only it was a Memory Jar. And I figured since it was for church, I'd change it up a bit. I'm doing a Memory jar with my kids.  Grin
