I did this drawing of  jack Russel for my DD's afternoon teacher as part of her Christmas gift- she owns a Jack Russel and turns out my drawing is actually pretty accurate to what her lil' pooch looks like!! (there is the back story posted below for anyone who is interested!- it's a bit long winded )

A bit of back story- It's my DD's first year in school. We both adore her afternoon teacher (she has a different teacher for morning and afternoon) & she adores my daughter as well. One day after school she held back my daughter and motioned to me & stated "I need to speak with you". Of course my first thought is oh oh what has DD done. so we waited to speak with the teacher once she was finishing dismissing the rest of the students. Of course the anticipation is horrible at this point because she also held back a lil' boy with blood down the front of his jacket... so I'm thinking the worst at this point. But thankfully she just wanted to tell me  "She(DD) made the most beautiful picture today. We were playing with clay (play doh) & most of the other kids just make random shapes- not Reina though, she made an entire scene- snowman, mommy, daddy & herself, as well as trees & everything & it was so beautiful and well done"  My daughter is 4 years old and very artistically talented for her age apparently (she can colour in the lines perfectly & is very good at drawing also). So needless to say I was a very proud mommy at that moment! Reina decided her teacher needed a drawing as part of her Christmas gift- so we found out her favorite animal, which also happens to be the animal she owns as a pet & I created this drawing!! Her teacher was so thrilled with the drawing that she is going to buy a frame for it and hang it in her house!

The drawing is well done and the story is wonderful. Smiley Hope your daughter continues to grow in her art.

I'm sure she loved it.  How wonderful that she's so encouraging of your daughter's artistic talent!
