I want to make a replica of DJ Lance Rock's boombox for my daughter for her first birthday.
Specifically, I'd like to make this one.

This will be for a one-year-old.
I thought maybe it'd have to be made of wood? I can't get in touch with the website owner, so I'm pretty much winging it.
I know it's about 24x12x10, and have a diagram of what I think it should look like..

I've got about 3 months to make it.
Thanks in advance! Cheesy

The handle on top is usually sold by misc. window parts at hardware stores.  It's a brass handle.
The hinges are called "piano hinges" and are another item you can snag at a local hardware store.  If you can, hit something small, rather than a big box store, as the people working there can usually help give you some tips and tricks.

It's hard to tell, since the pictures aren't super detailed when it comes to the woodworking, but it kind of looks like the crafter used small nails (probably wood glue too) to construct the box.

Looking to de-stash cross stitch magazines, particularly Cross Stitch Gold or New Stitches?  Please drop me a line!  I'd love to swap or buy some missing from my library!
