For a swap, I made watercolor paintings of my partner's dogs. I saw her white great Dane and the watercolor image of him/her came in my mind. Since it was the HoHoHo swap, it really didn't fit the theme. So, I drew dogs on fabric I used to make a tree skirt but the great Dane still wanted to come out. When I had every thing ready to ship, I took out the watercolors and decided to sent them as extra. I searched the web to find pictures of her dogs. I took me two days to paint the four of them. And now, I have discovered she has a fifth dog! I hope it's OK that he doesn't have his own portrait. Undecided So sorry, doggy, I didn't know you existed.
I took very poor pictures of them, as I did not set the white balance and the whites turned out blue, truly blue. So I tried to fix the images on the computer but I lost some nuances.

You will notice one of the eyes is so dark you almost don't see it. It was that way on the picture but now, I think I should not have followed reality and instead put some clear half-circle around the bottom part of it. What do you think?

They are terrific!  I would be over the moon for paintings of some of our animals.

Beautiful!! I don't think the dark eye looks funny, but if you wanted maybe a little white highlight/dot might help it look more "there?" But I think it looks fine the way it is. You have such a talent!

Thanks a lot Cheesy!
I am with art creations the same as with babies, in my eyes, they are beautiful. But at the same time, I am wondering what others truly think.

They are terrific!  I would be over the moon for paintings of some of our animals.
I would be happy to paint some for you!

Hi hi, thank you! Grin

Thanks for the comments and for the tip. I would definitively try to add some highlight next time. That's what great about arts and crafts, you can always learn and improve so it's never boring.

Absolutely thrilled that you like them!

Thanks to all your positive comments, I have added a resolution to my already long un-original list (losing weight, exercising more, cooking more fish, filling my nice journal sent by Limeriot, laughing everyday...): do an art project at least every other week.
