Bookstorebabe: I was wondering whether I allowed enough crafting time. I thought maybe I should extend it.

Suggestions, anyone?

Star484: Do it! You know you want to. Seriously, we would love to have you join.

No, a full month of crafting time should be lots. I'm on the fence about joining too - because of other commitments and plans.

Yes, it's plenty of time, but, like Wulf, I think I may have too many commitments. Boo.

Lots of really great household stuff on Jake Von Slatt's Steampunk Workshop site.

Do oven mitts count as "wearable"? Just brainstorming...

I would rule that oven mitts are for the home. I have yet to see anyone wearing oven mitts outside the home Cheesy

Wulf: Thanks for the link. I am sure it will be inspiring. And, I am sorry you can't join. There are so many tempting swaps going on all of the time. But if you should change your mind, we would love to have you.

I hadn't made up my mind yet, in fact, and I think I am going to join after all. Grin I'm in the process of sorting some of my stash (for the DeStash-along, and I realized how much Steampunk-ish stuff I've squirreled away for just this sort of project. This would make it count as de-stashing. Wink

Questionnaire coming shortly. Now we just have to work on Bookstorebabe. I gave in - you should too!

Woohoo, score one for artsy peer pressure (all in good fun, of course Tongue)! Bookstorebabe, you're outnumbered. Resistance is futile, at this point  Grin

I checked out that link you posted, Wulf. That guy's stuff is absolutely wicked, but the best tool I have is a Dremel, so no brass-cutting for me Tongue. My mom is a little weirded out by the idea of copper sulfate and electricity to do copper plating and etching, but I may get her to come around, a long as I am careful with it. Anyone know where to get CuSO4?
