To join my To Do List, I made a few more things for the walls of my craft area to help keep me organized.

The magnet board and two small bulletin boards:

The magnet board, up close is below.  It used to be the top of a big popcorn tin.  I put some sticky ribbon (the kind you can get for $1 at Joann's) around the edges (it's turquoise) and then used some double sided tape to put a pretty patterned paper on the inside.  I then attached a circle of paper and a matching button to a magnet to create the magnets.

Then the bulletin boards are what used to be two cork trivets from IKEA.  These were way easy - just hot glued a bow to the center and then attached a matching length of ribbon to hang it.  I glued buttons to push pins to make it match.  Smiley

Finally, to begin organizing my paper stash, I cut one of the flat rate boxes from the post office in half, covered it with paper and ribbon and then sealed the ends to get two color-coordinated boxes.

The awesome thing about these projects is that the popcorn top, the trivets, and the flat rate boxes, plus the paper, magnets, buttons, and most of the ribbon were from stash.  YAY free organizing projects!

I like the paper boxes. That's a great idea to get cute and personalized ones without spending much money.

I love the popcorn tin lid trick. I've used the large tins as waste paper baskets, but always tossed the lid. Now I want them back.

Thanks!  Cheesy

Thanks so much - the boxes were free, the ribbon cost, at most $2, and the paper was about the same and now it all matches colors. Smiley  I'm going to pick up a couple more the next time I'm at the PO so I can make one for each color paper I have!

Thank you!  I've got the large tin to cover, too - it's holding the rolls of embroidery interfacing and other long items.  Smiley  Now I want another to use as a waste basket!
