Stencil from stecilry+Black and brown mixed paint+Red shirt=An awesome Totoro shirt


Once I saw the stencil, I knew I had to make a shirt. Totoro was the first anime I ever saw. :B



Yay. ^_^

Edit: If you use sewing needles to pin down the 'islands', it's pretty easy to paint if you remember to just keep goin up and down with the sponge brush.

I tried to make this stencil, but I got thrown off by all the "islands"--how did you cut out the stencil exactly without losing pieces? The shirt looks great!

bah this is fabulous! The last time I saw Totorro was like a decade ago but I thought it was the strangest and best thing I had ever seen. Great execution on this stencil... also, like lucid I want to know how you got the islands to work so well.
