For a new year's gift for my Grandmother, I scavenged craftster for inspiration. In the list of handmade gift ideas, if found these instructions to crochet a lace bowl.

It's been really hard to make good pictures, but I hope these will give a good impression.







I'll be filling the bowl with tea and homemade gingerbread Smiley

LOVE this.  As one whose fingers are not coordinated enough to manipulate any sort of needle craft, I envy your talent!  I'm sure your grandmother will love this.

You could do this with an old doily! Could be a great kid project...but would have to use a commercial starch rather then hot sugar startch.
