She Likes My Spark!

This is the Calcifer I crocheted. Funny story, I met a guy when I started college. We became pretty good friends. About a year later, his wife sent me a message on Facebook asking me to crochet a Heracross (Pokemon) for her to give to him as an anniversary present. I was more than happy to do that for her. Then, not much later, he messaged me and asked if I could make a Calcifer for her anniversary present. This situation was just too cute and perfect.

Anyway, it took me a couple of weeks and a lot of work and frustration. It's about 15 inches tall and 34.5 inches around, measured right under his eyes. My friend likes it and I hope his wife does too.

Looks good.  I thought about trying a three colored flame like that a few times but I'm too chicken to try it.  Really looks wonderful though   I may try one now thanks to this.

Honestly, I had no intention of writing the pattern down. BUT since Huskyd's picture is of Prince and Apollonia, I might consider it. It might take me a bit though. Thanks for all the nice comments!
