I was shopping at an antique store today and came across a cute, aged grill rack (or cooling rack) and decided to turn it into a memo rack for pictures and magnets.

I'm new to the community (hence why I can't have images in my post) ^^; so I hope this is posted in the right place.

Completed:

Before photo:

Summary:
- Item: grill rack
- Price: $6
- Materials: rack, lace, thread, sewing needle
- Time invested: 30 minutes
- Scope of project: quick and easy

I've posted more info and pics about this little project on my blog: http://jinnyly.wordpress.com/2013/01/03/repurposing-conventional-rack-to-magnetic-memo-boardrack/

Cheers,
Jinny

So welcome to craftster. Very nice, and especially as I'm in an organizing/destashing mode, ideas like this are very welcome.

You will love it here. We have cookies (and today, gingerbread).
