I keep looking at everyone's list and thinking, "Oh! I should make that for me too!"

Enticing idea.

I made:
1. hanging chair
2. backyard terraces to grow vegetables
3. painted sheets set

I plan to make for myself:
1. chest camera holder
so that I can put the camera in a relatively safe place while mountain biking and not keeping it in my hand (which prevents easy access to the brakes) or stuffing it in my shorts' pocket (which is very uncomfortable).
2. hanging chair-done
3. try to blow glass
4. backyard terraces to grow vegetables- done
5. mug rug
6. not so tiny tiny-house
7. watercolor paintings- started January
8. rainproof bag and cape for my bicycle
9. up cycling blouses, dresses from the ones I already bought at the thrift store
10. an art journal- started January
11. finish writing a book
12. a hot tub : I doubt I will be able to create this one, but I would really enjoy it.

This is a great idea.  I am going to try and play along this year.  Since we can crosspost to our 50 lists I am hoping that I can get some of the me projects that I have been dragging around that list for years done.  I am reasonably certain I won't get them done month by month.  I am reasonably hopeful I will get 12 done over the course of the year.

Here's my partial list:
  • Wildflower quilt
    Paint/decorate bedroom
    Paint/decorate kitchen

I'm in Smiley Great motivation to do things for ME - I usually either do things for my boys (so sort of for me) or do swaps to get things for me, but would be great to make some things myself too.
I have some WIP's to finish and some birthday and Christmas pressies to use/learn to do.

Green = WIP

1. finish shrug
2. slippers - knit/crochet
3. learn to carve stamps DONE Smiley - were for swap but will do some for ME as well
4. learn to spin with spindle kit
5. learn to dye with dye from spindle kit
6. Art Journal Calendar challenge (December to finish challenge, but will list when I've finished the pages done: 2/12 see them HERE)
7. 'Embrace the Day' on-line course (9 pages done - you can see them HERE)
8. up-cycle black velvet skirt and dress into something I can wear
9. make some sort of wall art for our bedroom
10. make at least one birthday cake*
11. knit some socks
12. start hessian wall hanging (big project - will take forever, but need to get it started as been mulling it for about 2 1/2 years now!) (YES - now a WIP!!)
13. do something with 4 years worth of pictures of my babies
14. finish the blue doily started by Grandma
15. a jumper/cardigan
16. Altered book (you can see these HERE - same place as the Embrace the Day pages) 3 shareable pages done.

more than 12 - but room to flake on some Tongue

* cooking/baking is a biggy for me as it triggers my panic/anxiety disorder! I have 4 chances to do this

Too bad you live so far away from my family. We would have loved to invite you to cook with us, especially birthday cakes which are one of my daughter's favorite.

May I ask what is a hessian wall hanging? I tried to google it but it 's not clear.

I'm not getting a great start to my ME crafting year. I have a long list of projects that I'm really super excited about but they are all for other people.

I think I need to set some deadlines for myself - like a personal swap with myself Smiley.

Thank you for that yoopidou - having someone else doing stuff with me does help sometimes (other times i'm like 'Get the F*&K out of the kitchen!').

As for the wall hanging - I have a bigggggg piece if hessian (burlap??) - my DH bought me a roll of the stuff for my birthday a couple of years ago (I did ask for it - just wasn't expecting/want quite that much  Shocked Roll Eyes MEN lol) and I'm going to use it as the base material for a wall hanging. Trying to work out what I want to do image wise and how to create it, but know I want to use lots of different techniques, which is why I wanted the hessian as It is so versatile Smiley
