Here's the ravelry link   I made a test belt last year out of some fake noro and decided that I would like it better in a solid colour.  My Irish yarn is a little lighter in weight than Noro but so far it looks okay and I love the idea of knitting something from my hard found souvenir yarn....you would not believe how difficult it was to find yarn in that tiny country full of sheep Cheesy

oh how cute is that!  I definitely think a solid color would work better...I do love the black and brown combo, though...I like your idea of using souvenir yarn to make things for myself...to remember the trip!  ha ha yes, I also found it difficult to find yarn in Ireland...I thought it would be easy to find wool fabrics as well, but not so!

haha everyone I asked thought I was nuts.  Apparently no one there knits anymore, people remembered their grandmothers knitting...when I asked where all the wool from the sheep went all I got was a shrug.  So when I found a yarn store by accident right before we left the town of Cashel I was so excited that the poor gal who owned it probly thought I was some kind of crazy Canadian yarn stalker Cheesy

I finally mastered the i-cord with this pattern too!

We should check with any of our Irish members for places to buy yarn should we ever go again! Cheesy

I love the norobi, alteredmommy! The solid beige almost looks like burlap. Very cool.

Who would have thought it would be so hard to find yarn anywhere? haha...I thought knitting was universal.

I thought of a few more items for my list!

2. Sewing machine cover (TM patch Never-ending WIP)
3. Patchwork skirt
4. iPhone stand

I'm thinking this craftalong will be a great success if I make ONE of these things!

You can go to the post that I linked on the front page and add your new things to your original list Abbeeroad, as I am not able to make any changes on this board Smiley

I should put sewing machine cover on my list too, I have one that I made and use but haven't gotten around to hemming the bottom yet Roll Eyes
