had fun at my felt class yesterday and made these:

The first one started out as a rectangle of fabric which I then felted small pieces of wool too. I didn't realise (or even think about the effect of) putting the wool diagonally would distort the fabric, but love the way it has come out Smiley

The second one was a straight forward flat piece of hand felt made with maroon, lime and teal coloured wool, which was folded then steamed in the microwave to set the folds.

(Dragon survived the firing process and is all ready to be glazed next week)

I bought more fabric for me:)  But I don't plan to use it until May/June.

I plan to finish the too small pants and a blouse to put away for a "goal met" gift bag to myself.

Wow, beautiful dance costume, lunamadre!
Thank you!

mini mum, what are you planning on doing with the felt pieces? The one piece reminds me of a dragon wing Cheesy

I made a Christmas decoration for myself, I know, weird time to do it....but I tend to not think of making anything Christmasy until the holidays and I"m too busy. I set aside my tree skirt instead of storing it, because I wanted to upcycle it into some sort of garland or bunting. I finished it but haven't taken pictures yet.

How does everyone keep track of their progress? Do I go back to my original list and edit it? Or do I copy and paste an updated list here in the discussion?

I've been going back and editing my list, mostly just with progress made on my big projects, since I've yet to actually complete one....

Feel free to post a picture here in the thread then you can edit your original list with a link if you like.  You can find a clickable list on the first post that will take you to your list Smiley

Well, I'm partway finished my final project! Here's the yarn all spun up.  Now, do I dye it too? And I don't think I'll be able to find a triangle shawl that starts from the tip that is a lace pattern, I'm thinking a leaf motif or something, so maybe a single fingerless glove?  Anyway.  Here it is!
