Erm... I guess I casted on the No-Fuss Shade-Loving Shawl with knit picks chroma fingering in the Galapagos colorway today... Just needed something to knit while in the car and out and about.  Almost 40 rows in already. Each row gets 4 stitches bigger, so the next 40 rows are going to take a lot longer.  But I have 2 balls of this yarn... I might just keep knitting until they are both gone....

Beautiful costume, Lunamadre. I especially admire the hair piece.

Belladune, all this talk about wool makes me really want to see it. What is Galapagos colorway?

This is the link, but its a long color run self striping sort of yarn.  It's turquoise, greens and some shades in between.

You can find the swatch in the 5th row at the end. There are a lot of color ways in this yarn, but that one screamed out to me.  I bought it because it was pretty. I had no plans at the time, but now I'm excited to see how it works up in this pattern.

Galapagos has beautiful colors. I hope you finish your shawl soon so I can see it.

Lunamadre--you are so lovely and your costume is just fantastic....love the peacock colors and feather...

Bella--I love the colors of that yarn...I made Aislynn's fingerless gloves in the Impressionist colorway!

I've made a few things for myself, but nothing really exciting yet...a few hats...one sock... Cheesy

Thanks everyone!
Hey that galapagos yarn matches my costume...I've been hooked on teals and greens lately. I can't seem to escape it, it's almost embarrassing when I pack for a weekend. My clothes, jammies, embroidery projects...Even my underwear and socks have it. Now my costuming too. LOL

I'm in the middle of a painting for my daughter's bedroom, three squirrels having a tea party. I keep wanting to paint but it's either late and I'm exhausted, or my son is driving me up a wall with cabin fever. I can usually set him up to paint at his easel next to me, but he doesn't want to paint as long as me and ends up getting into my box of thread or dumping out the fabric bin. He's going to grandma's tomorrow, so maybe I can paint while the baby naps.

Wow, beautiful dance costume, lunamadre!

That yarn is going to be so beautiful knitted up, Belladune!

I'm on a time crunch for my yoga mat bag. I signed up for an inversion workshop on March 3, and have nothing to carry my mat with! Maybe I'll work on it this weekend...

gorgeous yarn bella, I can't wait to see your finished project!  and the squirrels having tea Grin

Has anyone ever painted a yoga mat?  I have a plain blue one that kind of irritates me when I see all the pretty ones out there.  But as there isn't anything wrong with it (and honestly I don't do yoga as much as I should or would like to) I'm thinking of stencilling it up myself.

hopefully I can get some projects done in the next week, I have a number of thing I would like to make myself before our trip to Mexico the first week of March.  time is running out....

Looks like you can...

I hope you show it off if you do paint it! I never would have thought of that.

I didn't do yoga as much as I liked until I discovered http://www.doyogawithme.com. Figi McAlpine is AMAZING. I love her classes. And I feel like I'm getting better at certain poses, not stagnant like with typical videos. Just the right amount of challenge. I still miss my formal classes, and will one day return to them. But until then, I'm going to work my way up to Fiji's Power and Precision class.
