Such talent!  It is a beautiful piece of art.  Congrats to your daughter on a lovely result.  Did she leave the (remains of the) crayons at the top, or remove them after the melt?

Thanks everyone for all the compliments!  She loved reading them!

Your daughter is amazing!
Look at those drawing skills!
And the whole project is just perfect.
Can I adopt your daughter?

Um...no. Smiley

what a talented young lady! u must be so proud!!! cool kid!!!

HOW did u get so many of the same color crayons? had to buy tons of cheap packs, or raid a restaurant crayon bucket?

We bought a classroom pack from Michael's...has like 500 crayons in 6 or 7 colors.

Left the Crayons...pretty much the project is as you see it except she painted the edge of the canvas black to finish it off.

Awesome Smiley!  This was a great idea.  I hope the person who got it loves it.  What is the tool used to melt the crayons?  Most of the time I see people using hair dryer.  For a while I've wanted to try crayon art.  Thanks for the push.

Wow, this is the best piece of crayon art I have ever seen, I love the drawing, and the working umbrella so much.
