polymer clay Monarch Bangle. my first project of 2013!
i had been wanting to try Donna Kato's butterfly cane for a while, finally got there.i cut slices from the cane and smoothed them over an extruded scrap clay armature the baked, sanded and buffed.
i think i needed to make the black and white areas bigger, maybe make the bangle deeper, but i like the concept of this Smiley

BEAUtiful! I do agree that the white and black areas being larger would add a great touch, but as is, it's absolutely outstanding. I am always so impressed with your craftsmanship!

That's stunning.  It does look hard to make, but very professional looking to me.

This is absolutely stunning! The whole butterfly wing theme would come off better with larger black and white areas.  Maybe if you made the bangle wider?  That way you wouldn't have to sacrifice any of the awesome orange work.  Again, absolutely beautiful!
