I've already given these quilts to the now proud mothers, but I haven't been on Craftster lately. So here they are now. I got these done at the last minute for both of them, so please excuse my low-quality Iphone pictures. Tongue

The first co-worker was having a boy. I don't have a lot of boyish fabric, but found some random fat quarters and yardage that worked. I used the Fat Quarter Baby Quilt Tutorial from the Two Little Banshees blog.

The second co-worker was having a girl and was using a Care Bears (the 80s version) as the theme for the baby's room. I couldn't find any cotton fabric with the Care Bears and I didn't have time to wait for it to come in the mail. I lucked out and found some Care Bears flannel and used that as the backing. Then I just used some girly looking fabric and random scraps to make the quilt top.

I made these as a surprise for each of the mothers and they loved them. Smiley

I'm not surprised they loved them.  They're both really cute.

Very Cute! I'll have to look for that pattern with the fat quarters, I like how it keeps your eye moving across the quilt!

Thanks for the compliment MareMare. Here's a link to the quilt pattern, in case you haven't found it yet. Smiley
