I made this as a Christmas gift for a friend, and it whipped up fairly quickly. The hardest part is making the foundation row, which doesn't start with a chain, but makes the chain and first row at the same time. Once I got the hang of it (and kept track of my stitches), it was a very easy pattern. I like it so much, that I'm making another one for myself (I need something that doesn't tickle my neck while I'm shoveling). It fits nicely when it's wrapped twice- snug enough to be warm, but not so snug that it's choking me Smiley

This one is made with Charisma yarn in the Toadstool colorway.

I just came back from the store with 6 more balls of the Charisma yarn (it's on sale for 50% off this week at Michael's) because I thought they'd make perfect gifts for a group of friends (we haven't had a chance to get together yet for Christmas). I figured I'd make a few extra so they could each pick out the one they wanted (but they better not fight over them Smiley ).

This is a beautiful scarf.  Yep, the yarn is yummy!  Nice work.

Thanks! And, I went a little nuts... I'm finishing up the 14th one right now! It didn't help that they re-stocked the yarn while it was still on sale, so they had a bunch more colors. It's a pattern that, once it's started, practically finishes itself. But, after I finish this one, I need to work on some other things Cheesy

Here is proof that I can get a little obsessive about some things... I was planning to give these as gifts to friends, but couldn't decide on the color, so I made a bunch so they could pick their favorite (and I'm glad I did, because none of them picked the color I would have picked for them!).

And, I gave mine a workout yesterday as I shoveled snow for nearly 3 hours. Kept my neck nice and warm, didn't flap about in the gusts of wind, and didn't tickle my neck!

my daughter just saw this and said "my cowl's on there?!"  she made a moebius with a different stitch, but the exact same yarn as this (original post) about two winters ago and wore it all the time last winter.

LOL! It's a great yarn, and that colorway is really nice (my friend loved it!). I wore the one I made for myself when I had to shovel this winter, and it wasn't scratchy or tickly, so it was perfect!
