Details of swap:
This swap was organized so everyone can get something crafty for their birthday! Please read the guidelines carefully.
**You have ONE WEEK after being approved for this swap in which to make your first claim!**
1. This swap is list style, like the Ongoing Wishlist Swap. However, it is NOT chain style. You can choose any birthday Craftster’s list that is posted, rather than only being able to pick from the last one posted like in the OWS.
2. This is a medium item swap. A medium item is defined as a craft or recon, etc that takes you two hours to complete OR $20 worth of store bought items. (If bought from a thrift store, estimate what it would have cost new.) However, you may also substitute a few small items for a medium.
3. If your birthday is in swap's current month, you can post your birthday wish list for this month. To do that, you must first PM me with the swap questionnaire filled out and wait for approval. While you're waiting, be sure to post in the discussion/gallery thread:
http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?board=84.0
4. Once you have been approved, you may post your list of things that you would like to receive. This is the format for your lists: First post your location and a short bio of yourself, then a list of crafted items you would like, then craft supplies (if any) and lastly you can put a few “extras” that aren’t crafted, things like candy or tea. Remember, the more items on your list, the more likely you are to be chosen. The minimum of items to post is five. Also including your wists, etsy favorites, etc. is a good way for people to get the idea of your likes and style. If you have any allergies please type them in red in your bio section. Please see "Tips to Creating a Good List" below.
5. Please post lists only in this thread. Discussion can be done here in the combined discussion/gallery thread:
http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?board=84.0
Please be sure to post here so that you can be part of the discussion and receive. You will not be approved until you have posted in the discussion thread.
6. Every birthday participant must make at least one claim. You may have up to two claims at a time, unless you are an FOC or a first time swapper, and then you can claim again once your items are received (not when you mail out). New swappers may only have one outstanding claim; they may claim again after their first claim is received. FOC's may have 3 outstanding claims at a time. Claims need to be made from the "crafted" and "craft supplies" sections of a person's list. The "extras" are just that--extra items you may want to throw in if you are feeling generous, but claims cannot be solely extras. Keep it crafty :-) (I'm asking that if you are sending mostly supplies, that you craft a little something for the bday babe, even if it's a handmade card.)
7. You may get claimed more than once, but your minimum amount to claim is one. It is possible you may not get claimed at all. In this case you will not be provided a swap angel; angels are only if you get flaked on. However I do my best to make sure everyone gets claimed by keeping track of how many times each person is claimed. If possible try to pick someone who has been claimed 0 times versus someone who has been claimed 3 times.
8. If it is not your birthday but you would like to send a birthday present out you may do so. Fill out the “non-birthday swapper” questionnaire and send it to me for approval. Birthday swappers who receive a present from a non-birthday swapper must send a snail mail thank you card. You will not receive feedback until I hear from the other swapper that they have received a thank you card.
9.
When you choose to fulfill a birthday wish, PM both the organizer AND the chosen Craftster
. At that time, please request the address from the receiver for where to send it. After that, you have 2 weeks to get the item out the door.
10. It is super important for everyone to keep good communication.
It is REQUIRED that you PM me when you've sent
and of course,
don't forget the DC#
. It is REQUIRED that when you receive, you PM me and publicly announce in the gallery (even if you don't have pictures). If you do not send the appropriate PMs, you will receive “poor communication feedback.
11. When one of your items is chosen, please cross it out so that it is easier for others to see what has been chosen. (It wouldn't hurt to thank the person at this time either.)
12.
If you are sending late you must PM TroubleT
by your send-out date. If your send-out date comes and goes and you don’t PM me, you will receive “poor communication” feedback. It should not be my job to hunt you down and find out what is going on.
13.
If you are flaked on in this swap
you will receive an angel, but only in the amount of packages to which you also sent out. For instance, if you send out 2 packages, and are claimed for 3 packages but are flaked on once, you will not receive an angel because you already received 2 packages, which is equal to what you sent. If you send 1 package and are claimed for 1 package and you are flaked on, you will receive 1 angel.
Please make sure to put "Dec. Birthday Swap” or something equivalent in the subject line on all communications. The most important thing to me is communication. Please PM me (TroubleT) when you send and receive, and please reply to my PM's to you in a timely manner.
If you format your PMs like this:
Format for PMs:
Proper label:
"Jan. Bday Swap" and either "Sign-up," "Claim," "Sent," "Received," or "Question"
When sending sent and received PMs include the send-by date, listed in the second post of the main thread, your user name, their user name and the item. Just copy and past the info from the second post if you want!:
Send by Jan. 14
kaz814 to TroubleT -- pretty purse
Outstanding claims allowed:
FOCs: 3 at a time
First time swappers: 1 at a time
Everyone else: 2 at a time
Become an FOC~

TIPS TO CREATING A GOOD LIST
It seems that every month there is someone whose list languishes for a while. I want everyone to get picked so here are some tips for a well-round list:
--Make sure your items are actually mediums and smalls. Quilts are not mediums. Large painted portraits are not mediums. Hand knit sweaters are not mediums. This isn’t to say that you can’t have any large items on your list (some generous soul may have the time and the inclination to choose one of those!), but the majority of the list should be smaller items
--Listing “A surprise” plus a well filled out Craftster profile and a link to your wists (with a decent amount of items on it) is always helpful in getting chosen
--Make sure to post a variety of crafting techniques. If you list appliquéd t-shirts in five various themes and count that as your required five items, that is more like one item for someone to choose, not five. Having various crafting methods (sewn, knit, crocheted, paper crafted, jewelry, etc.) is going to make it easier for people to choose you.
--Check out other lists in past Bday swaps and the Ongoing Wishlist Swap for ideas for things you never knew you wanted!
If you want to SIGN UP TO POST YOUR BIRTHDAY LIST:
QUESTIONNAIRE TO ANSWER (BIRTHDAY SWAPPERS):
Name of swap: Jan 2013 Birthday Swap
Craftster username:
Email address:
Real name & Address (formatted for mailing):
When is your birthday?
Have you read and understand all of the rules to this swap?
Are you willing to send at least a medium item per claim?
(If not then you will not be approved.)
Are you at least 16 years old? Yes/No
Who and what do you claim for crafting? If you do not know yet/it's the beginning of the swap, you have 1 week after being approved to claim someone:
If shipping within the US, I agree to obtain a DC#: Yes/No
If shipping from outside of US, I agree to provide a copy/scan of my mailing receipt. Yes/No
Have you posted in the discussion thread already? If you say yes and haven't I will not approve you. If you say no I will not approve you. Discussion thread found here:
http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?board=84.0
Yes/No
Quiz: What do you have to do if someone who is a non-bday swapper sends you a gift?
Quiz 2: How long do you have to send out after making your claim?

IF YOU WANT TO PARTICIPATE, REMEMBER TO SEND YOUR INFO TO THE ORGANIZERS VIA PM AND NOT TO REPLY WITH IT HERE.

Hi!
My name is Leigh-Ann and my bday is January 3rd! Because its so close to Christmas I always get either nothing or 'combo gifts', so it will be nice to get something!
I'm a single homeschooling mom to a 5yr old son, Levi. We live in Florida with family and a big dog. I'm also a nanny to 2 kids (2 and 5) and teach sunday school at a Unitarian universalist church where I work with special needs kids, and I'm a certified carseat tech. I love working with kids!
I like bright colors, skiing, the beach, books/reading (mostly on the kindle now), sewing and anything related, things that smell good, and traveling.
I'm very allergic to smoke and cashews, and I am vegetarian (so no leather/fur/steak please). I'm happy to receive supplies or surprises as well, my pintrest is HUGE so anything even inspired by those things is fine with me, I'm just happy to get mail!
Here is my pintrest: (If you look at 'quilts' it gives you a great idea of the colors I like!)
http://pinterest.com/leighi123/
Crafted things:
- knit or crochet or fleece socks. Size 6.5, I have super wide feet.
- yoga socks (no pastels or white) pattern here :
http://sixdegreesarts.blogspot.com/2007/10/easy-peasy-yoga-pilates-socks.html?m=1
- crochet flip flops:
http://pinterest.com/pin/45950858667687739/
- cozy for my water bottle - KleenKanteen, crochet or knit or sewn, just something to cover it because it sweats. I can measure it if needed
- "clean/dirty" dishwasher magnets. We have 2 dishwashers (they are drawers), and its hard to tell whats clean or dirty, or running. We usually have 1 dishwasher dirty/loading, and the other either running or clean. Here is an example, but it doesn't have to be exactly like this.
http://www.kaboodle.com/reviews/clean-dirty-dishwasher-magnet-4
- 8 magnets that represent glasses of water, or some other method of measuring 100oz of water. I drink 100oz every day, usually I use a 12oz glass and drink 8, plus a bit more for the extra few oz. Maybe 8 shaped like water glasses that I could turn upside-down or move or something.
- hand sanitizer cozy/holder thing, I like the kind from bath and bodyworks.
- camera bag/holder thing, I need something to keep it protected when I put it in my backpack. Doesn't necessarily have to have a strap. I have this camera:http://www.amazon.com/Kodak-Easyshare-Z981-Schneider-Kreuznach-Stabilized/dp/B0031RGGFM
- Strap cover for camera above, it currently has a real skinny strap that is boring. I'd like something colorful!
- quilt squares, 12", "wonky houses" theme in bright, rainbow-y colors, like the colors of all the quilts on my pintrest board:
http://pinterest.com/leighi123/quilts-blankets-other-quilted-stuff/
- yoga mat wrap roll up holder thing, like this one or similar:
http://www.etsy.com/listing/27736943/unisex-yoga-mat-tote-hexagon-wrap?ref=v1_other_2
Or this one:
http://www.etsy.com/listing/121083460/custom-made-yoga-mat-tote
- set of cloth napkins, anything colorful, or beachy, or ocean/beach inspired colors (blues, sands, etc)
- hair things, like those headbands made from old t-shirts. I have long, fine blond hair.
- mint body scrub
- homemade lip balm with no artificial color/flavor (essential oils are fine!)
- hooplas! I have a bunch of ideas here, but anything you think I'd like is fine with me! I need more for my wall which just has boring ones with fabric in it now. I'd also love a skiing theme one but can't find an example. Here are some ideas:
http://pinterest.com/leighi123/hoops/
- tiered skirt, knee length or maxi, like this:
http://www.makeit-loveit.com/2012/06/tiered-maxi-skirt-a-great-skirt-for-summer.html
(doesn't have to be white, I'm not picky on color)
- stenciled tank top or t-shirt (size small, I love the old navy tanks or similar, or feminine fitted t-shirts). Some examples are on my pintrest:
http://pinterest.com/leighi123/clothes-for-me/
-kindle fire cover like this:
http://www.etsy.com/listing/93676398/new-sewing-pattern-kindle-fire-cozy
. (See pintrest quilts for fabric ideas)
-pouch for 3 ring binder like this:
http://www.etsy.com/listing/56268774/zip-pouch-for-3-ring-binder-pdf-sewing
. A purple print fabric that's not floral would be great
-fingerless gloves, lightweight ones maybe sewn like these:
http://www.etsy.com/listing/79926093/how-to-make-fingerless-mitts-from
- chalice necklace, this example is woodburned but any style is fine! http://www.uuabookstore.org/productdetails.cfm?PC=1119
- hand stamped 'stuff' I love the look of this! Maybe a 'mom' necklace with Levi's name on it, or something else, I dunno. Some examples on my pintrest page here:
http://pinterest.com/leighi123/other-crafted-things-i-like/
-sewing machine made of lego:
http://suchitysuch.blogspot.ca/2012/05/lego-sewing-machine-tutorial.html
-hotpads, functional ones. Fun colors or beachy/ palmtree colors/theme
- this super awesome spinning wall decor made from a lazy Susan (with "super hero" where iron man is, or any of the slots could be changed, doesn't have to be exact, I just love the idea): http://www.lilblueboo.com/2011/07/spin-spiration-folk-art-a-tutorial.html
- carseat nerd related something: keychain or bracelet maybe that either has a carseat on it, or says something carseat related (like my 5yr old rides rearfacing!)
-something made from seatbelt webbing/ carseat harness etc. For example a wallet:
http://www.etsy.com/shop/retoolsf?ref=seller_info_count
Or keychain
http://www.etsy.com/listing/58455677/black-seatbelt-key-fob-wristlet?ref=sr_gallery_1&ga_search_query=seatbelt+keychain&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_ship_to=US&ga_search_type=all
or bag or coin purse
- something to entertain Levi, 5min of peace is a nice present for me! Stuff for him can be found on my pintrest:
http://pinterest.com/leighi123/
- surprise from or inspired by anything at all on my pintrest:
http://pinterest.com/leighi123/
Supplies:
-machine embroidry designs, "pes" format. Does anyone digitize embroidery designs? I really want a carseat themed one, and there are several others that I can't find anyplace!
-metal stamping supplies : letter and other stamps, anvils, metal blanks, holepunch, necklace chains. And anything else I might need!
-kits for new crafts such as metal stamping, resin casting, nail art, stamping, polymer clay, woodburning
- Fabric. Any knits like thermal, interlock, thicker jerseys, sweater knit, velour: solid colors or basic prints like stripes, dots, chevron etc. I also like popular 'kid prints' especially gender neutral ones (ooga booga for example).
Wovens: cotton quilting or similar, or apparel woven, or bottomweights like twill solid colors, stripes, dots, chevron, and anything good for making kids clothes.
- Sewing thread, all purpose (no antique thread please!), any color but especially white.
- white serger cone thread
- sewing machine needles (any type) for singer/brother machines
- 1/2 twill tape, something good for making labels. white or off white.
- buttons for making kids clothes, anything fun!
- zips, any sizes/colors
- 1" elastic, for making elastic waist pants
- stamp that says "The Little Sewing Shop"
- stamp that looks like a button (or this can be combined with the one above)
- fun cookie cutters
- sewing magazines/patterns that have kids patterns (i.e. ottobre and similar)
- Other supplies I need are here:
http://pinterest.com/leighi123/craft-supplies-i-want/
- small curved scissors for trimming appliques.
Extras:
- body wash or hand sanitizer from bath and body works
- tart warmer thing (the kind you put a candle under or plug in - used is fine with me!)
- fun erasers
- tazo tea (the fun flavored ones)
- organic chocolate/candies/anything mint
- a postcard from where you live or from any place (Levi collects them)

Happy Birthday, fellow January babies! My name is Tammy and I live in Mesa, Arizona. I'm turning 48 on the 16th ... not sure how that happened! I mostly crochet and sew, but dabble in all kinds of things.
I'm very eclectic in my likes ... I find it hard to think of things I DON'T like. I can't choose a favorite color anymore, I seem to like them all, except maybe neons. I'm not flashy and I hate to draw too much attention to myself. I love anything homemade - I appreciate the effort someone takes to make something for me. I love trinkets and what I call my "treasures" - random things I've accumulated over the years that just sit on a shelf for me to look at ... I totally agree with the Craftster motto that cute doesn't need a reason!
Things that rock my world:
- Religious Icons - any religion! My favorite religious gods and goddesses are Ganesha, Cerridwen, Buddha and the Virgin De Guadalupe. I am sadly lacking in Jesus stuff - I'm not into doom and gloom and he always seems to be hanging from a cross dripping blood - just not my style. If there were some fun Jesus stuff, I'd love it. I also need to brush up on my Hinduism - I'm hopefully off to Nepal this fall to do some volunteer nursing with my bestie! (Ah, the pleasures that come with finally being "older"!)
- I run as a hobby - I'm a recreational runner that thinks running 26.2 miles on a Sunday with a few thousand people is FUN! Last year my favorite hobby was running, but this year I think I'm placing crafting first and running second
- I spend alot of time on Ancestry researching my heritage which is primarily Welsh and I'm loving making that connection.
My Birthday Wish List:
- Crochet or knitted slippers- any kind, any color. I hate naked feet! Every year I need a new pair - I wear them to threads ...
- A hook roll for crochet - any kind. (I finally bought a basic one, but it's so not crafty.)
- Anything Wiccan/Pagan themed - especially anything I can put on my Cerridwen altar. I've been collecting a few pictures of her in other swaps - any media, anyway you think she should look. I love to see other peoples interpretations of things. Also anything related to her like white sows and cauldrons.
- Notebook covers, like the ones I make for other people! I make these covers for a standard one subject notebooks, reuseable. I'm a typical Capricorn -I make a lot of lists and keep notes on everything in the world. Again, anything Pagan related or one for "money" (I use a notebook for account balancing.) I have alot of naked notebooks all over my desk!
- Homemade soaps, bath salts or bath bombs - The few I have received in swaps have been awesome! I prefer "edible" scents (almond, vanilla, oatmeal) but wouldn't pass on flowery or fruity scents either. (Every scent, like every color, has a reason.
- My biggest goal this year is to redecorate my craft/guest room (Ya, it was my goal last year too! I had a "returning" son residing in there last year, ruining my crafty mojo.) I've finally obligated to some fabric and I'm going with black/white/ceil blue colors. Some crochet or fabric baskets in any of those colors would be awesome. I've also thrown in some hot pink, chartreuse and zebra print bits for good measure.
- Anything from my Pinterest can be used for inspiration, even on the "Make it!" board, since I will never really get around to making anything for myself
- I have an "Etsy Favorites" -
http://www.etsy.com/people/phnxreign99/favorites?ref=si_fav
(just no stamped jewelry - that's my daughter and I EXPECT her to make me whatever I want!)
- Aprons - any aprons! Although I must admit, I don't cook, but baking in an apron is so much cooler!
- Stitch Markers for crochet - with a lobster claw hook. Simple is fine.
(Thanks
stellato_escuro!)
- I desperately need a glasses lanyard for crafting - I've had to start wearing those cheapo magnifying glasses and I keep losing them in my crafty messes while sewing! Currently I have black and pink leopard print ones
I can't think of any supplies I actually need at the moment ... I'm working on destashing this year and getting the craft room cleaned out!
I don't need any hats or scarves (we pretend like it doesn't get cold here in Arizona) and I have more random bags than I can count!
Hope everyone enjoys their birthday!!!

Hi everyone! I'm Kat and my birthday was on the 12th of Jan. I live in Toronto and this is the second time that I've done a birthday swap on Craftster. Last year was really wonderful and I'm excited to do it again. I sew a bit, make videos and make a lot of music (
www.playthetriangle
.com
) and drawings and I'd like to learn how to crochet one day. I travel a lot for music work and it's something that I really love, but it also means that I don't like a lot of random stuff around. Practicality is key to light packing
Favourite colours: I like most subtle colours and patterns, especially into vintage looking fabrics and antique florals (but not modern flowers very often)
Interests:
I love teas, all sorts of teas and especially herbal teas. I'm off caffeine for the next few months, so herbal teas are AWESOME.
I play music all over, so having some sort of thing to wrap my cords up would be amazing, or maybe a hand sewn or crocheted covers for my pedals? (these kind of pedals
http://www.dv247.com/assets/products/14627_l.jpg
)
I love nature, birds and leaves in a realistic looking context
I love everything related to stationary and stamps, and I get super excited about ephemera I can use in letters.
Other likes:
healing stones and crystals
photography, polaroids, miniature detailed things
old magazines, ephemera
old postcards
writing letters (+ receiving them!)
natural items like feathers, bone, leather bits (but all found naturally, not purchased)
Etsy favs:
http://www.etsy.com/people/PlayTheTriangle/favorites
Crafted items:
Wool socks! It's pretty snowy here, they're good to have. (i'm size 7.5)
crocheted crop top? I perform pop music, so I can wear more 'crazy' things on stage. Something awesomely shiny or wearable would be cool... Like maybe a big bow tie or hair bow, or some sort of fascinator or a bat-wing top or....anything? I'm a size 4/6 or small.
I like pretty earrings. Not too big or gaudy, but just pretty (if that makes sense!)
I love the
cross stitched hoops
hooplas some of you make! Something to put on my wall would be nice. Maybe with something written positively about working hard?
Supplies:
fabric, just regular quilting style cotton, any size or colours
Watercolour paper, any sizes or scraps of it
ink pens, drawing supplies (used is totally fine! recycleeee)
jewellery findings and interesting pieces to put together, like chains, clasps etc
Keys, all sorts of old fashioned keys big or small are super awesome.
Other randoms:
snacks (I'm vegetarian)
wool, I just learned to knit!
embroidery hoops or small pieces so I can display
chocolate is always a winner, but please just as dark as possible (so I don't eat it all at once!)
Thanks for including me, really looking forward to it!

Hello! My name is Barbara (aka-"Miss Barbara") and my birthday is January 31st! This is a "big" birthday...I will be
40
! My birthday is (selfishly), my favorite "holiday"!
I have a wist and a HUGE Craftster profile. There's themes/wants, etc...on it for more info.
I have no allergens in my home. However, when sending to me: Everyone in my house has SLIGHT allergies. I can receive items from people who have pets as long as the pet is kept away from the craft and supplies. Please do not send to me if you smoke or have smokers in your home. Thank you!
Here's my list:
PAPERCRAFT:
-origami stars (small)
-gift tags for swap items (maybe that say 'For You! on one side and 'Made by Barbara' on the other?)
JEWELRY:
-anything Tree of Life
-rings
-bracelets
-earrings
-necklaces (I would love a bowtie or moustache necklace!) (but any kind is good too!)
YARN:
-large pom-poms in every color of the rainbow (these are for use in my preschool class, so they need to be made very sturdily)
-hand spun/hand dyed yarn
-a poncho (PM me for measurements)
-an "infinity" scarf (no wool, please) (made to hang very loose, please PM me if you need measurements)
SEWN:
-A pocketbook (with a top closure like a zipper please...one can never be too careful
)
-covers for two kitchen chairs (please PM me for the measurements) (the covers can be as simple as basically large pillowcase, or more decorative, if you choose)
-plastic bag holder (you know, those ones with the elastic on top and bottom)
-garbage bag for my car
-a 'prayer flag' just like the ones in the swap, that says: 'Serenity'
-a scarf (I like them to hang to my waist...I'm 5'1" tall.)
-an ice cream cozy, to use with a pint of Haagen Dacz
ART:
-Anything in any medium that says: "O'hana. It means family. It means nobody gets left behind or forgotten. O'hana."
-Decorated headbands (I received one in a swap once that has feathers on it and I love it! Please use the hard 'U' shaped headbands, cloth ones slip right out of my hair.)
-Anything made with or using sea glass
-A dream catcher for my craft room
-A three ring binder with those plastic sheets in in for me to put my recipies I print off the internet in (I thought the cover could be decorated.)
EXTRAS:
-Red Heart yarn, any color (I'm making scarves and hats for my students, and there's 34 of them!)
-whimsies
-silk cord for necklaces
-two postcards from where you are (I put one in my craft area and put one on the wall in my classroom.)
I am unable to take and post photos, so if you choose me, please make sure to take photos of what you send me and post them in the gallery. Thank you SO MUCH in advance for this!
Thank you to whoever chooses me!

My name is Katherine, and I live in Montana, USA.
I am allergic to seafood, pine and cats.
I am married to a super awesome guy, have a three year old daughter, a 6 year old mutt and a one year old beta. I work full time (plus) at a newspaper, and since my husband travels for work, I do a lot of stuff on my own. My free time is pretty much late at night when my little lady is in bed, so I tend to do projects in chunks. I like to paint, sew, crochet, spin (kindof), draw, make jewelry and cook.
When I am not crafting, I am probably sleeping or cleaning. Maybe I am reading, but that is the least likely activity. My husband wants to get into better overall health, so I am working on tweaking our diets and getting outside as a family more.
If you have any questions, go ahead and shoot me an email. You can check out my Pinterest and Craftster Stalker page (both in my signature) or my blog daydreamhouse.wordp
ress.com.
WISHLIST!!!
Crafty stuff
1. Fun battery operated lights for my studio. My studio is in the basement utility room, so the lighting leaves something to be desired. Plus, there are minimal outlets, and a good chunk are taken up by silly things like the water softener. I don’t care how they are decorated, as long as they are somewhat bright and I don’t have to plug them in. Here are two I really like:
http://www.instructables.com/id/Fast-Easy-Sun-Jar/
http://www.craftsbyamanda.com/2011/01/burlap-doily-luminaries-rustic-meets.html
2. A ceramic yarn bowl. Something large would be best. I like the types with a slot for the yarn instead of a hole. Then I can take my project out if I want.
http://www.etsy.com/listing/91720966/cobalt-blue-ceramic-wheel-thrown-yarn?ref=sr_gallery_43&ga_search_query=ceramic+yarn+bowl&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_ship_to=US&ga_page=2&ga_search_type=all
3. Crochet WIP baskets. I don't need anything large, just something open on top with handles that I can put materials for a project into. I don't care about colors at all, so this could be a stashbuster!
http://crochetincolor.blogspot.com.au/2012/03/ombre-basket-pattern.html
Thanks Miss Barbara!
4. 4x6 recipe cards on heavy, non-gloss cardstock. I use a LOT and can always use more. I love these ones:

5. Lotion bars. I would love anything in a twisty container (like deorderant tubes) that is solid and made with shea butter or cocoa butter. My favorite scents are citcus, lilac, honeysuckle and lily of the valley.
6. A decorated drink carrier for summer. Something like these, but brighter, and maybe with a padded handle or solid base.
http://www.etsy.com/listing/28390519/vintage-white-milk-crate-wire-grid-with?ref=usr_faveitems&atr_uid=63017

7. BIG WISH Car organization for kid stuff. I am in love with this, but I am sooo sick of sewing. The pockets are perfect...two large ones and a space for drawings. Oh, I looooove it!
http://craftapple.wordpress.com/2008/07/01/the-car-organizer-pattern/#
8. Car trash bag. This would also be nice for containing car clutter. A velcro strap and at least enough room for a coffee cup would be perfect.
http://www.chicaandjo.com/2009/05/14/make-a-trash-bag-for-the-car/
Supplies and extras
1. Any acrylic additives/gels. I love sculpting pastes, interference colors, powders, etc. And even sample size jars are fine by me.
2. Anything off my wishlist board on Pinterest:
http://pinterest.com/stellatoescuro/wish-list/
.
3. I loooooove tea. My favorites are citrus, green, peppermint and constant comment. The only ones I don’t like are Earl Grey and anything with licorice root.
4. Washi tape. The only place I can find it locally is Target…not a great selection. L
5. Shrinky dinks. Any color/type is fine, but basic clear or white would be my first choices.
6. Sharpie fine point markers, any color.
7. Large sticky notes, like the 4 by 6 inch post its. I loooove using them for list making.

Hi everybody! My name is Ginger. I'm 30 years old (turning 31 this month!!) I just moved back down to San Diego, CA into my own place! I just got divorced (the several year ordeal is finally OVER!), and pretty much had to start over from scratch. However, life is going GREAT now! I'm currently studying art in college, and taking a few sustainable agriculture classes on the side. I love to sew (machine), knit, and embroider/cross-stitch. I also dabble a bit in paper crafts and polymer clay. I recently started making candles, and would like to get into soap-making sometime in the near future. I LOVE gardening, though I can't do much living in a tiny apartment with no yard or patio...but I'm moving into a house in the spring, so I should be able to take this hobby up again!
My favorite colors are plum, teal, red, and green! I don't exactly like the color yellow unless its a small accent color.
I've been a vegetarian for years (no eggs though!) and I LOVE animals. So nothing with fur, leather, bone, etc. I adore cows (seriously, hugging cows is one of my favorite things ever!) I have two beautiful siamese kitties and a betta fish who somehow manage to coexist peacefully. I'm pretty big into Hinduism and love anything India-inspired.
I really enjoy receiving homemade canned goods (like jams or pickles as long as there aren't any animal products like gelatin them!), and bath/body products like soap, scrubs, etc. The kitties are addicted to catnip, and could always use a few new toys also! It's been FREEZING here in San Diego, so I've been on the hunt for a new cowl and fingerless mittens/wristwarmers (though I can only seem to find mitts that are too bulky and I have rather small hands).
Here is my pinterest!
http://www.pinterest.com/sinellia
Crafted things:
- A stamped spoon for my tea! like this one -
http://www.etsy.com/listing/71118925/peace-love-tea-organically-upcycled
-oversized infinity scarf like this one, but maybe in a different color
http://www.etsy.com/listing/80743919/oversized-wool-eternity-scarf-unisex
-a pair of fetching mitts from knitty. so far I've had two pairs of these. The first was too big and bulky, and the other fell apart after a few wears. I have rather small hands, and my wrists are about 6.5 inches. I would love a pair in the color shown, or maybe in plum.
http://www.knitty.com/ISSUEsummer06/PATTfetching.html
-a slouchy hat just like this one! maybe one in teal or red!
http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/spring-beret
-a tea mug cozy like this one
http://www.etsy.com/listing/75357343/personalized-tea-mug-cozy-customize-this
I had one, but it got lost in the move.
-a rag rug. I'm not sure if this would qualify as a medium item, but it can't hurt to ask I guess.
http://crazymomquilts.blogspot.com/2012/03/crazy-mom-quilts-one-way-to-knit-rag.html
I don't have any rugs in my kitchen yet...I keep meaning to knit one out of scrap yarn, but I haven't had the chance.
- a crocheted lace necklace. kinda like this one, but maybe a little fancier
http://www.etsy.com/listing/87833289/lace-crocheted-necklace-black-vintage
with roses kinda like this maybe.
http://www.etsy.com/listing/51965205/bridesmaid-gift-lace-necklace-emily
- crocheted swiffer pads! I definitely need some of these!
http://www.etsy.com/listing/71706998/swiffer-mop-cover-crochet-pattern
- handmade soaps, lip balms, sugar/salt scrubs, tinctures, and other healing balms (like homemade vapor rub, etc). I have dry/sensitive skin, so anything that would cater to that.
- a wrap bracelet. I LOVE these. I keep meaning to make one, but that will likely never happen. I really dig the kind with a variety of beads (faceted, bicones) with different colors and such. Here's an example
http://www.etsy.com/listing/90253202/leather-wrap-bracelet-faceted-gunmetal
please don't use leather cord though! I would like it to wrap around 4-5 times.
- a silk ribbon bracelet exactly like this one!
https://www.etsy.com/transaction/26199386
I had one, but it pretty much disintegrated.
- a knitting needle case. I have TONS of knitting needles. In all sizes and lengths. DPNs, circulars, straight, you name it! and I don't really have anything to organize them, so I'm constantly losing needles, buying a new pair then finding the old one afterward. Super frustrating. I would like one that has snaps on it instead of ties. Kinda like this one, but with different fabric please!
http://www.etsy.com/listing/40423724/double-pointed-needle-and-circulars
- a pinterest surprise! I seem to add stuff to it everyday.
http://www.pinterest.com/sinellia
Supplies:
- metal stamps! This is something I've been itching to get into, but haven't been able to afford it.
- polymer clay tools (cutters to make fun shapes with, etc).
- washi tape
- fabric ribbon borders (I think there is a better word for this, but I can't think of it right now)
- funky acrylic paint. Like the gold, pearl effect type stuff from Golden acrylic.
http://www.dickblick.com/buy/product/155720-iridescent-pearl-fine-golden-iridescent-open-acrylic.html
or
http://www.utrechtart.com/Golden-Heavy-Body-Iridescent-Acrylic-Paint--Pearl-Coarse-MP68774-i1003753.utrecht
This stuff is usually out of my budget, so I never get to use them...
- decent synthetic paintbrushes
- silk ribbon in any color.
Extras:
- tea! I love all kinds of tea! I prefer loose-leaf tea, but I'm down for whatever. Sweet chai is one of my favorites!
- air-tight containers for tea. kind of like the kind from teavana.
- homemade jam! we go through that stuff so fast in this house!
- organic chocolate, vegetarian gummies (no gelatin)
- herb-infused honeys (like lavender, thyme, etc!) for tea
