Koreena, you're saying you made a different one than the one you pinned? Would you be OK with a similar (read: free pattern) scarf? Hm... I have lots of yarn and need to work on my stash so that would be a good reason to make a claim and ship something to Canada, right? Don't get your hopes up but if I get more stuff done I might break myself and go for it.

I promised myself absolutely no late sends this year and I've blown it already.  Redstar13's embroidered piece just took on a life I never intended and I've had a hard time deciding that it's finished.  Plus, life keeps interfering with art... rude life!  I am hoping to fly to the post office right before it closes today but if not, it will definitely go out tomorrow.

I had a major craft fail. I just emailed my partner and organizer, but i still felt compelled to share. Maybe it will make everyone else feel better! Anyway, I picked magnetic message boards for szuzu1969 because I didn't want to sew. And before anyone says anything, I sanded, cleaned, dried and primed the boards. Then I did really thin layers of paint. So I have no idea what went wrong. But I will let the pictures speak for themselves.

Looks pretty decent as long as you don't look at the corner.


That's not cool. And soooo not getting mailed out.

The nice thing is after getting really pissed, I went to bed. And while I was sleeping, I figured out how to do them better. So my partner is getting her package late, but I like to think it will be improved.

Oops redstar13, I think that was the package I sent you for the OWS.  Your piece for this swap should be there today or tomorrow.  Anyway; I'm glad you like your banner and I'm really happy that that amazing fabric finally found a home.  I would love to see what you do with it (although if you're like me it will live in your stash for a long time before being put into service)
