I'd like to do a faux stained glass effect for an awkward window I have. It is hard to reach.
All tutorials on the net seem to be that you draw the design on a piece of glass that is laid over your sketch, and then hang it up.

I'd like to somehow draw and paint the design onto a something, then peel it off the something and stick it to the window.

Does the collective wisdom of Craftster think waxed paper would work?

PS: Didnt put in glass crafts cause everything there seemed to be real glass, not fake glass you squeeze from a bottle.

How about acetate sheets?

Look twice, buy once. Nooooo
Look twice, decide I can make one instead.

Ditto on the acetate.  Then you don't even have to peel it off, just hand the entire piece of acetate up.

I did a trial on parchment paper and semi transparent file folders. On both the leading peeled off nicely and was pretty restickable.

Thanks Craftsters!
