Ongoing ATC Swap Discussion Thread for 2013!

Oh I'm so confused.....I don't think this numbering system works like other ongoing swaps I've been in so please help me - I've made 11 claims so far, 1 hasn't been sent, 9 are in the mail and 1 has been received, so how would I put that down?

1 claim 9 sent 1 rec.

 I think that jillybeans let you add up all you total claims.  For example:
claims - 11
sent - 10
received -1

 I do it this way and it is easier for me. That way at the end all your numbers match, you're not trying to subtract and keep track of who got what, and you will know how many total cards you swapped each month.

Here's the way I think about it:

Cards I have to make still / cards that are in transit / cards that have made it to their new home

Sort of like Mountains and Clouds said, the first number will decrease as the middle increases, and the last number will increase as the middle decreases.

If your claim list is

1/2/3

Then the 1 will move from here/_/_ to _/here/_ as soon as you put it in the mailbox. When the person receives it, it will move from _/here/_ to _/_/here

It is easier for me to think of it like a one-way train with three stops from left --> right than adding and subtracting numbers.

I have GOT to get some of these swaps finished up! I have two that I've completed, but we have to wait until everyone has sent and received for feedback. This one's always so easy, though, since I only have to wait for feedback from last month's to free up space for this month's !

And my luck, I'll add the two swaps I've been eying, and then the Head Start Art Journal will come again, just because I'm all full up and I've been waiting for another round of that ever since I joined
