I made this set for myself. I never get to crochet something for me, so this was a fun project! I did a ripple pattern that I got from Attic24.

Scarf in action. It's about 5 feet long.

Fingerless gloves with bobble edging.

This is a lovely scarf and mitt set!  Love the interesting stitching and the colors are so pretty together.

What yarn did you use?

Thank you! The yarn is Maxima by Manos del Uruguay. It's amazingly soft and just fantastic to work with. Love it!

I love working with Manos del Uruguay yarn--it is soft and does not split...well worth using a nice yarn for your lovely stitching...

It's my first time using it, and I'm completely hooked! So glad I stumbled across it.

Lovely set AugustBell!  Your stitching is divine, and I adore that blue yarn color. Grin  And YAY for crocheting yourself something!

You picked the best colors. I can't stop staring at it. I suck at color mixing... so I tend to gush when I see a project that blends perfectly. Smiley

I'm not naturally great at color mixing either. I just look at color combos I like in other projects, fashion, home designs, etc. then use whatever inspires me. I felt like these colors were a good wintery scheme.
