I've made that soup before. It's really yummy. I don't make it often though because few people around here like tomato soup.

Coffee Liqueur
I made some coffee liqueur. Just because. You know, for funsies. Because a friend gave me a huge bottle of vodka that I didn't know what else to do with.


The recipe wasn't difficult. I halved it and it still made a growler and a half of the stuff. The flavor is good but it's very sweet.

Pros:
- would make good gifts
- tasty

Cons:
- expensive ingredients (vanilla beans, alcohol, etc.)
- I have no idea what I'm going to do with it all. Any suggestion? So far I've just been adding it to hot chocolate.
- takes about a month


Lemony Wheat Berries with Roasted Brussels Sprouts



I also made this recipe for wheat berries and brussels sprouts. The hubster and I are trying to eat a little healthier. And this was really good. But it wasn't a main course. Next time I think I'll serve as a side to chicken or fish.

Pros:
- good for you
- yummy!
- the wheat berries have an awesome chewy texture

Cons:
- take a little while to make because the wheat berries need to cook for close to an hour

This weekend I used fondant for the first time to decorate cupcakes for my friend's bachelorette party. I bought a box of Wilton's pre-mixed at the store, as I didn't have too much time to finish them. I enjoyed doing it, and still have about 3/4 of the package left! Now I need to find something else to bake and decorate, along with someone else to eat it for me.

I used to make kahlua--coffee liquer--but it was very sweet!  I had it for months...it was great in coffee, but my favorite was milk, liquer and a shot of coke...it was called a Texas MF , not exactly a family or work friendly drink!

Does anyone have a killer onion ring recipe?  With a super crunchy crust that can be dipped?  My mom craves them but at $3-$6 at fast food, it is getting expensive to buy for her!

Four Cheese Baked Poasta: Meh, it was OK. I twas better the next day as left overs.

Mutella Brownies: Tasted like regular brownies. Not bad, but nothing special. Super easy 3 ingredient recipe, though.

Chicken Pot Pie Cupcakes: My 6year old has a new favorite meal! Seriously ladies, I think this is the first time he has ever asked for THIRDS. He may have asked once before for seconds of a dinner but I may have also starved him that day. HE LOVED THESE. Sweet. But I didn't use Pillsubury dough 'cause nah, F that. I made my own biscuit dough (read: I shopped at Sam's last and didn't want to buy Pillsbury dough there (read: I didn't have space in my cart for it) so I thought I had some mix here at him but I didn't so I found a recipe online and while it was pretty sticky, it worked for the recipe. Work great. Just ask Russ!)

Chicken Rollatini Stuffed with Spinach: Did I post this yet? It was not bad. G was unimpressed because we also had a spinach salad on the side, oops.

Quinoa and Sweet Potato Chili: Vegan. Made when the husband was out of town. Russ (6) loved it. Never made Quinoa before. Pretty scrumptious.

Crock pot loaded baked potato soup:L Meh, it wasn't that loaded. I have better tatoe soup recipes somewhere.

I think that's all I've done lately, from the Internets at least.
