I whipped this little number up because I've given myself a stash busting goal for 2013. Although it didn't quite bust my stash, it turned out quite cute, I think! It is very easy and knitted up in one evening and that's with making the buttons, too! Here I am modeling it with my flannel sheep pajamas (hee hee!). The pattern is on my blog http://craftycoup.blogspot.com.

I'm still working on the directions for the toggle buttons. It's just a simple flat peyote beading stitch rolled and then attached to itself along the long side.

Hope you like it!

I had to look at this because your title got me! I grew up in Anchorage, Alaska where a car dealership has the slogan "Go see Cal" and I got a chuckle from the play on words.   Lovely cowl by the way....

There were car dealerships in Southern California that sold used cars. Cal Worthington had these funny commercials on very early in the morning and the song would start off "This is Cal Worthington and his dog Spot!". I wonder if it's similar to the ones you grew up with in Anchorage? I included a link to a youtube video of one his commercials on my blog.

I thought of him and those commercials when I made the cowl! Those are some fond memories!
