I'd like to see more crafting for charity stuff, or crafting to make a positive difference in the world. Crafting with "garbage" like old clothes that are not wearable, recycling and upcycling. Also nature crafts like land art. I love that stuff so much. It's not exactly destashing but it doesn't Add to stash anyhow, ha ha. You could totally use up things from your stash though, come to think on it. Natural fiber things, sticks, roving etc. Left out in nature those would just melt into the ecosystem eventually, or be nabbed by birds to make nests.

I look to your inspiration on what to do with old clothing...I am tirelessly cutting out and folding fabrics but with no purpose, right now, the piles are getting high...I know clothes are often turned into rags, pulp, etc.  I found a wonderful carpet matting that is 100% recycled from clothing at our carpet outlet...

I will be de=stashing some sewing patterns when I get around to that corner of the room, ome will be given away and others used for papercrafts or art projects. I know I can't teach myself to be an artist but I can be more adventurous in what I do and the things I try  Cheesy

Use what talent you possess - the woods would be very silent if no birds sang except those that sang best

I pulled every single bin apart yesterday, there is no floor in here today. I'm bound and determined to start this year off right, destashed and pared down to a minimum! By the time the kids are back in school I'm going to have half these UFOs finished. Well, I'm gonna try anyhow. No more crafting clutter! You guys are gonna miss me next year Wink.

Well, I didn't craft as much as I'd like in 2013, but I also almost completely stopped buying craft supplies altogether, so I at least didn't add anything to the stash.  2014 is time to get serious though.  I've only got a year and a half left at school, and I am not lugging any more crap with me than I have to!

Well, I did a small bit of de-stashing yesterday and made a headband. Unfortunately, I wore it to work today and lost it between there and my apartment!  Shocked However, it was incredibly simple to make and will definitely be making more.

Also, sorry for the horrible picture, I thought I would have the chance to take more this evening!  Cheesy

Happy New Year, everyone!! See you in 2014!!

I have de-stashed more than I've posted, but not really that much. Work responsibilities have really got in the way of what I like doing. Oh well.

I did some final destash last night as we waited for the various New Year things drop...in our area, Harrisburg drops a strawberry and Hershey raises a big Hershey Kiss! Grin  We also have a Wrench drop, a pickle drop and a rose drop...

Anyway, I purged all of my sewing patterns...they filled a large black trash bag for recycling. Glad to be rid of them...most were from the 1980's---big old wide shoulders and slim skirts...ugh...

Here is to a fresh new start in 2014!
