Hey its good to see you here again Trinalocakary - I was wondering where you were hiding.

Love the tree cushion cover and the alphabet Anna.wahnsinn.

I'm using up crochet thread on snowflakes and fabric on a doll. I got Jan Horrox new book from the library yesterday so today I decided to make a witch. A nice witch, none of the witches that I know are wicked  Smiley
I used up the last of my gold crochet thread and the pic below shows how much stuffing I have left from a mountain of the stuff earlier in the year. The dog bed used a lot of it even though I reused all the stuffing from their old bed too.

Can you join this DeStash-Along at any time? I have been following it for a long time and need to take the plunge. I don't have tons of stash, but I do have quite a bit of felted wool sweaters that I need to "use or lose." I have lots of ideas in mind, just need some motivation to get going on them. I have busted some stash in the Givers and Needers swaps, passing along some supplies that I don't need, but I need to get some projects done. Winter is coming and that's the best time to work with wool.

You are more than welcome to join at any time.

craftsunderground -- welcome to the fun and chaos!

K_Starr -- crocheted snowflakes!  I suppose now is the time to start if I want to give a bunch away at Christmas.  Thanks for reminding me.  And can't wait to see the finished doll.

I now realize that the chances of me not crafting at least some Christmas gifts this year is slim to none but I am making a vow I hope to keep...no buying crafting supplies for gifts.
I have so many supplies, so much material and no reason I can't do some "craft stash busting"
If I want to make something it has to be made from something I already have with supplies I already own
Also turning the extra paper from the circles and some thin  ribbon  into book marks

Also thinking of doing some with card stock and gel pens and zendoodle one side and put book quotes on the other
In fact I had some lentils I don't want, an old trouser sock and a long fluffy sock that I took the bottom off of and sewed one end shut, a little lavender I had sitting around and I now have the hot pack (with washable case) I promised my SIL.

Just finished this swaddler (from Lotta Jansdotter's book) that had been waiting for the velcro strips. Recipient approves.

Though she is a good seven weeks old by now and probably won't be happy in it for long (2 minutes so far). But I have a niece coming in December, so all is good.

I believe I actually only finished this now because of the challenge themes for October, as both apply here. A first for me.

oh what a wonderful thing to see on a cold Monday morning!!!  Hello, cutie pie all swaddled up!!!

Trina!!!!! Missed you!  Your note cards are fabulous and I recognized your style immediately...love the black background...I wonder why I have not used black for cards?  So lovely and unique!

k_star--I love your glittery crochet snowflakes...you guys have me wanting to make some to hang everywhere!

I destashed a bit this weekend...it meant throwing out .... fabric...it was fabric I was given, so I sorted out the dirty, the moth eaten, the yucky hard polyester, the super ugly...it was hard, but I did it!

I also made a few pouches out of some of the sweaters I felted/fulled...I am going to embellish them a bit with some buttons or something and call them done.

Ok so I do not post in this thread although I really SHOULD lol, but I had to post and point out the obvious mistake in the photo of the swaddler I saw whilst browsing recent with pics.

I just got 3 pack of black footless tights and they fit (the first ones I have been able to buy at a regular store since weight loss surgery). 1 pair each of plain, lace cuffed and rouched tights.
The only problem is with my post weight loss thighs (normal shaped calf's and very big chicken leg thighs) I really need to wear them with dresses longer than knee length. The problem is most of my favorite dresses I have been able to get on clearance or thrift stores are above my knees, I will have to add some different materials on the bottom of them, semi sheer layers, satin, even light weight velvet.
Thankfully I have lots of material from when I got everything from grandma's sewing room, most of which was mine anyway, and even from old dresses and the like.
My goal is to alter at least 3 dresses by the end of the year.
