Texscrapper, those composition books are amazing!  Your embroidery is great.

Wonderful knitting, gaudiknight.

I think for the September theme I'll aim to use up 3 skeins of yarn -- two that have been partially used and are sitting in a basket judging me at the moment and a 1-pound roll of Red Heart intended for a WIP I've since forgotten about.

I have done some more destashing and I'll share pics soon Smiley

That corduroy blanket is great...warm and colorful and practical!  Love that you switched up the wale direction for texture and color...excellent use of corduroy scraps!

The doll clothes are so cute!  But, I really love the glove ... it looks warm with such a nice pattern!

Love your embroidery, texscrapper--I am going to have to use my embroidery machine more this year...

I bet the teachers loved those composition book covers!  They are a nice personal item.

I like the destash challenge of using up the supplies I bought to learn a new craft...

CUTE doll cloths...but it is hard to compete with those faces.  Please, what brand dolls are those?  I hated dolls as a kid, but there are some so fabo dolls around these days Grin

Thanks! They are from two different companies. The one wearing the hats is a Lati and the dark haired one is from Fairyland. Flickr is full of people who are much better at crafting for and photographing their dolls. Mine are about 6 inches tall and whenever I try to sew for them I feel like my fingers get really fat and clumsy.

Yea!  Now I've finished the quilt made from 4" squares of corduroy.  I found a chunk of black corduroy that I used to do a border, so now the quilt is 42".  And I used almost all of the corduroy and the backing fabric.  I pieced some batting to make do.  But I didn't have the drive to make my own binding this time, so I ended up buying some.  But five bucks for a blanket is great!

Another project finished!

I know what you mean.  I love crocheting with embroidery thread but it's always a dexterity challenge.  My Nanny (grandmother) used to crochet doilies with even thinner thread well into her sixties, despite arthritis.  Too bad nobody kept any after she died.  :-/

dulcet, I somehow managed to miss that excellent quilt the first time you posted it.  It's excellent!  I love the bright colors and the texture of the corduroy.  Makes me think of the children's book Corduroy, one of my old favorites Smiley

I really love that corduroy blanket!

I am burning through my vinyl stash for the Sweat Shop Swap...so far I have used up about 1/2 yard! Grin  I am using some of my fat quarters as well...about six of those...the good news is that everything I am buying is for a project...not stash!

And, I used grey!!!  I will post when my partner receives!
