CLM -- I wish I had your drive to get things done.  I feel like I've only done bits and bobs all summer.  Good work!

CLM, that's definitely some great destashing and recycling.  I also hate throwing out little bits and bobs.  It took a lot of self-discipline to toss out the bucket of scraps I had collected after my recent diaper-sewing binge.

Speaking of which, I thought I'd share a photo of one I'd made recently.  I was able to complete 3 before running out of elastic and metal snaps.  I've got a stack of cuts pinned and waiting to be sewn and another that's sewn but needs the finishing touches.

Made from recycled terrycloth and a yard-sale receiving blanket Smiley

Oh man, I finally gave away the half finished cloth diapers I started for my son when my daughter started to potty train (8 years later, lol!). I applaud your ability to finish things in a timely fashion. I'm more of a wait-until-you-are-absolutely-out-of-time-for-procrastinating sort myself Tongue.

I promised a friend a felted wool water bottle cover this summer and I've got it done before winter so yay me! Out of monster scraps too, in her colours and everything!

I'm destashing all areas of life before we move and the fridge and freezer are no exception. The other day a neighbouring restaurant was cutting basil from a planter and offered me a garbage bag of it. I'm serious, a whole garbage bag of basil. What would amount to hundreds of dollars if purchased in those little plastic containers from the grocery store.  I've had lots of nuts and seeds just waiting to be used up for at least a year so a big bag of pine nuts, 2 bags of walnuts, and one each of sunflower and pumpkin seeds later we got 27 1 cup freezer bags full of gorgeous garlicy pesto to freeze. We ate some for dinner, of course, and it's delicious.

A friend and I are setting up a booth for a local festival tomorrow so maybe I'll unload a few monsters and some other things. Good thing too as I've finished a couple dozen more of them this week! Will show pics of the set up. I've got bitters, deodorant, toothpowder, and a lovely facial clay packaged up for sale too. Should be a fun display Smiley.

carolmb, i love that BOM quilt.

dulcet, that is definitely one of the coolest anniversary gifts I've ever seen.

clm, i can't believe I've never thought of finding an old leather coat for slipper bottoms. That's a great idea.
What do you put in your toothpowder? I've been having problems with toothpastes lately, and i don't think I've ever heard of toothpowder before. I'm intrigued.

MA_P, that is a great-looking diaper.

Wah! It's storming today and the forecast isn't looking good for tomorrow either so setting up a tent to sell stuff is off the list. Oh well, I've got plenty of monsters to finish to keep me busy.

Bananaleg you can make a simpler version of this recipe, it doesn't need all these ingredients to be effective. The xylitol is important though, include that one or it won't taste so nice Tongue.

Been giving pesto away all over town! Ooh, is it ever tasty. My kids don't like it, of course, but who care? I'll eat it ALL myself, mwah ha ha!

Ain't no slackin' going on over here girls. Here are my most recent batches of stuff.
Facial clay mask mix with bentonite, french white and kaolin clay, neem powder, rose and calendula petals, lavender flowers, self-heal herb, seabuckthorn berry powder, myrrh gum powder and irish moss. It's super awesome for all skin types, very healing and softening. I love it.

Tooth powder, herbal deodorant and cinnamon/peppermint lip balm

and digestive bitters

I busted SO much stash! Like crushed my collection of random body care ingredients and herbs. It was so great to see all that stuff go. I still have to pack this lot and move it but it's much less, way less messy, and it's FINISHED! Yay!
