Now that my partner has received, I can share my goodies from the Doctor Who Swap!

I made a hat, mittens, a pin, and a needle book and it's entirely from my stash!  WooHoo!

jfer007-- the fez/bowtie mittens are brilliant!

I have boxes of vintage piano music.  Some as old as 1890's!  PM me if you'd like some!

I have been working on organizing my stash. I need to make room for my son to move back in. The plan was to move the desk into the closet and clear some floor space for a bed. Once I got the closet cleared out I found mold all over the walls. I scraped the peeling paint, spackled, and kilzed the closet, but had to rethink my storage. I moved the dehumidifier in here and decided only ventilated shelves would go in there. That pulls stuff from the back room in here and does not solve the bed issue.

I guess the desk has to go, but I am still lacking storage for fabric from closet and jumble on desk. I also found droppings and am tempted to just get rid of everything I own.

Greetings Everyone,

I did manage to use a bit of my fabric woohoo. Been using a bit of clay as well. But I can't post that till swaps are done.

So on to what I can post
Two gifts I made for the CNA's at one of the nursing homes where I have clients.
The first is an apron from This Tutorial

It has a total of five pockets two large in the back and three mid size in the front.  The thing I liked about this apron was the fact it has canvas fabric as the backing. So it will last a while.

Nice wide front, yet not too long

The second item was a Market bag, just a really simple shopping bag. I don't think I really liked the way it came out. Would change a few things if I use the pattern again.

here is where I got it.

And here is how mine came out. The person I was making it for said what she wanted and it was the closest I could find.  She liked it, so that is what counts.

All in all a bit of fabric gone, People happy with what I made them, so on to the next projects. LOL

I do have a bit more I have been working on. But can't post till SWAPs are done.

well and wonderment

texscrapper--very nice project for babies!  did you embroider on flannel?

carolmb--love the apron...it looks like it would be a good size for actually being practical as well for the CNAs!

jfer007--cute fezmitts!  I see that your Dr. Who projects were featured on the home page!!

I have missed too much! I just finished a wonderful swap, two crafts made from stash materials were:

Wall art which focused on my swap partners liking of love hearts and thankfully used up quite a bit of yarn, thread and a tiny bit of fabric.

An ice crystal pin which used little of anything up except my time but gave me a ridiculous amount of joy in return.
Now that the swap is over it is time to craft something for myself and reduce that stash and that is why I tore apart every cushion on our couch last night:

If we want to be comfortable again, I just have to use up some fabric stash and make some cushion covers  Grin

I used prefolded cloth diapers. My customer loved the diapers as burp clothes, but wanted to dress them up a bit. I have two more orders for this type of burp cloth, so more stash to be used!
