The rug is awesome. I made some as a kid. I would add to if and make it huge and bold. The color combo is awesome.

I agree with lovesclutter, I think the rug looks great and wish I had an extra one on this cold, cold March night.

If it looks unbalanced, could it be that there is a large amount of lighter colors to one side more than the other?

Knocked out two more projects for a friend who gave birth yesterday. Used more of my fabric stashed - slowly but surley the pile will decrease!  Grin

Used about 2.5 yards making this baby blanket. The back side is minky so it's super soft!

And I made two extra long burp clothes and appliqued the baby's intital Smiley

Close-up of the applique

13 projects completed so far - completely from stash items!  Shocked

texscrapper congratulations on your thirteen stash projects! Such thoughtful gifts for your friend too, you have been productive.
Kookaloo_Starr at this rate you will be able to keep half the babies on the planet warm and stylish; very beautiful work.
dulcet that rug is lovely; I have been planning on making a rug for quite some time, I may need to move it up the list of priorities after seeing such a nice example.
trinalocakary you have done a very good job, I especially like that you used take out trays!

RLB--it's not that the colors bug me, I actually really like the way they came out.  But I think the strips were too wide, so they came out very flat, which made the braid flat.  And the lacing skewed the braid.  SO, even though I think I know what the problem was, I'm not going rip it out all the way back to the beginning and cut the strips narrower and start over.   Tongue

Whoa, RUG! Massive effort there, I haven't managed to conquer that craft though I SO want to. One of these days!
Lovely quilting, and the hats, so many, wow!

Busted lots of embroidery thread stash on those monsters and sock creatures, doll eyes and a few buttons too.
