I've been kind of MIA on the de-stashing front for the past 6 weeks, mostly because all my crafting time has been consumed by this:

71/361 Finally Finished by AluminumDryad, on Flickr

The blanket is somewhere between 32 and 36 inches square, all in DK, so it took forever.  It's made of yarn I've had for the past 6 years.  The parents it is going to asked for gender neutral gifts, but I feel like denim will do, and even if the baby is a girl, it will have more than enough pink in its life.  And that's 6 skeins of yarn out of the stash!  I can see the bottom of the bin.

That is beautiful Gaudi.

I finished my Juliana Wrap. It is very small and I'm wondering whether it's worth the effort to darn the ends in or should I just frog it and start again  Sad

There have been so many fun and pretty projects posted lately!

I was planning on doing lots of crafting this weekend but my motivation abandoned me as soon as I got home from work Friday night D:

guadi that is a beautiful blanket. And if the baby is a girl it will look great with her girls colored clothes.

guadi--gorgeous blanket--and I think the color will be much welcomed!

CLM--your monsters are just so creative...

jfr007--wow!  A lace knit sweater!  That is a lovely way to destsh...I also like your hats!

dulcet--those skirts are fabulous!  Looks like they will get use through the summer as well!

k-star--ha--I just printed out that pattern for the wrap...if it is too small for a wrap, can you wear it as a neck scarf?

bella--what a pretty name for such pretty yarn!

It's too small for a neck scarf too so I don't think blocking will help. It seemed so much bigger when I was making it  Roll Eyes
I'll make it again using my nasty plastic 8mm hook.

Wow, that is a gorgeous sweater! One of these days I'll learn to knit. One of these days...
And that blanket... how come nobody gave me anything that beautiful when my babies were born? What an awesome gift. Just lovely.

The monsters are looking totally different as I jam them full of fiberfil. It's like watching their personalities come alive in unexpected ways to see the changes as they fill out. Pretty fun. But I have gone through 3 small bags of stuffing and 2 of the giant sacks already and still need another giant sack! Then oh please you gods of crafting tell me that's gonna be enough Roll Eyes. It's ridiculous how much you have to put into each one.
I'm more than half done now though so the end is in sight, finally. Oddly enough though, even though I'm so looking forward to this adventure being over I still find myself checking out every sweater I see for fiber content. My mom's fave creamsicle orange merino cardigan nearly made it into my clutches this weekend and now she's wary of shedding a layer in my vicinity, ha ha!
Oh, and I had to buy a board book to cut up for bases in the flat bottomed creatures so they'll stand up. 50 cents at the thrift store, I think my budget can handle it. That's all though, these have to sell and bring in some money before I buy Anything else to craft with.
Except maybe more eyes. And any irresistable socks I come across, of course Cheesy.
