I think the craft gods sent the blizzard here to New England to kick my butt into gear! I'm about to shut myself up in the craftroom for the day...

I'm right there with you, mewari! I'm in MA and we got about 20" here. I'm staying in where it's warm and working on my mothers present.

We only got about 20 cm (8 in.) of snow here in Toronto, but it was enough to make yesterday pretty slow going for most of the city. I made some good use of the snow day in working on my storage problem, not directly dealing with the things that need to be sorted out, but tackling the underlying piles of weirdness that are taking up space that could be used for storing stuff I actually use. For instance, I have about five or six of those parts cabinets with little plastic drawers, but most of them are either half empty or used for storing things I don't really need easy access to. And they're all stored away in places I can't get to, because there hasn't been room in my work area. So I finally made space to bring four of them out into the light, and have been removing their unhelpful contents and cleaning up the drawers to use them to sort some of accumulating workbench clutter into.

Ehinders, I love that thread catcher idea. It's something I could really use, as I'm one of those people who's obsessive about snipping threads, but my wastebasket is on the wrong side of the sewing machine, and I waste a lot of time turning around to throw bits away. Did you back the weighted part with some non-slip material, or does it stay in place okay without it?

I finished this up this morning Smiley ehinders sent me these great frames for upcycling in the Givers & Needers swap. The one on the left is the original just so that you can see a before/after.

Now I have a great pincushion to match my craft room! The fabric, spray paint, and fiberfill were all in my stash Smiley

Thanks, only the leaves are made out of felt. I used strech terry for the cauliflower.

Clm, that craft bombing is awesome.  Love the quote hanging off it, and the sock pocket  is brilliant. Thank you for sharing that inspiration!

Silk, that cauliflower is super cute.

Texscrapper, that pin cushion is great.  What a wonderful use of those old frames.
